    Sundays haul.

I am missing my car boots but still reluctant to go just yet I assume you got them at a car boot? If so what was it like, social distancing and mask wearing wise? Just curious as I can't quite see how its managed at a free for all like a car boot

    new machine

The only saw I have come across that takes the 3" blades is the Dremel motosaw which is rather limited IMHO not to mention expensive for the blades

    new machine

I think you are mistaken with the smallest Proxxon scroll saw which take standard blades, but its not like a usual scroll saw in that it bounces the blade up and down, its a single driven arm, I have not tried one but wouldn't want to be honest

    Scroll Saw Blade confusion

Yes but I found at least two types using that search so a picture of the machine he has would be the most useful

    Scroll Saw Blade confusion

Yes that is one of two I came across, *but* is either the machine the OP has bought? a photo of the actual machine is what is needed

    Scroll Saw Blade confusion

You may be right but all others I have come across where they asked for or had coping saw blades fitted, turned out to be bog standard scroll saws that someone had fitted a coping saw blade to I photo of the saw would help greatly to establish the type and possibility of fitting the Axi clamps

    Scroll Saw Blade confusion

I would agree with the last post on pinned blades, and would just add that there are pinned blades and then there are pinned blades ;-) The generic variety sold in DIY stores and often via ebay etc (for example Silverline) are rather agricultural compared to say Pegas pinned blades which are...

    Scroll Saw Blade confusion

Do you have a photo of your machine to be better able to help you I suspect your machine is the same or similar to many other low end saws and should take standard pinned blades Despite whats been said on pinned blades you can still do a lot with them, pinless are far better of course and...

    Scroll Saw Blade confusion

Thats interesting, I have never come across the brand or used name Naerok and at first did not find a scroll saw of that branding but a search for just Naerok machine brought up lathes, band saws etc and in one image a scroll saw (not sure that wouldn't come up in a search Further searching...

    Steaming ?

I thought it would be a possible non starter, but you don't know until you try do you I did want to keep it as original as possible, partly as my own backside filled these chairs back in the day, as did my brother and sisters before me, they were a gift from my sister who was the last...

    Steaming ?

This is the top rail of a small childs chair of at least 60+ years vintage and probably more It was in a garage for some years and I presume the damp didn't help as the top rail tried to straighten itself and popped off one side So this is my effort to re-bend it back to the shape it once...

    Steaming ?

Okay I tried to steam a childs chair back earlier Not having a container large enough I used a large heavy duty plastic bag, sealed the steamer tube to it and folded the end over with spring clips, it steamed away happily for an hour like an inflated balloon I whipped it straight out and onto...
