    Elektra Beckum HC260 Thicknessing Alignment

I adjusted the thicknessing bed on my HC260 and from what I recall it involves releasing the tension in the chain via the chain tensioner sprocket. This should allow you to disengage the chain so that you can adjust the height of the bed via the thicknessing bed spindles and nuts. When you have...

machining tree trunk into thin boards

Check out YouTube for designs of jigs to safely hold the log. You need to be sure that the log is dry enough for planking. You will probably be better off to plank it to the normal recommended thickness and then resawing at a later date when it is at the right moisture content - it will still...

Recommendations for a reasonably priced digital camera

Check out Panasonic's website for current promotions. I bought the FZ330 and qualified for 50 pounds cash back - a month later it was raised to 100 pounds. Also look at Graham Houghton's website for all Panasonic cameras

What size is your work piece? Use a hand saw. You could use a router by hand or in a router table.

    Accurate angles

Mike What about an instance where a saw is correctly sharpened and set vesus one that is not. Same goes for a chisel where the back is not flat and the cutting edge is a mish mash of angles across the edge. Would these fit the description of precise and imprecise?

    table saw fence question

I think Sunnybob has modified the RK by taking off 0,5mm (not 5mm as he has stated). Sunnybob, please confirm.

What bit do i need to do this?

It is unclear if the OP has made the body that has the M4 hole - or if she is making a component that fits into the body and wants to add a spotface to the body to help seal a needle valve assembly.

What bit do i need to do this?

I am assuming that the M4 thread is already there - so a pilot toll will damage it. Waiting for a reply as to why the 8mm mill tool was not suitable.

What bit do i need to do this?

What was the problem with the 8mm mill bit that you ordered? Did you test it on anything? What equipment do you have to perform this machining task?
