    dust extractor?

Hi, I already own a chip extractor for the p/t and table saw and have rigged up some steel ducting. I now want to run a 10m length of 63mm dust extraction for the radial arm saw, sander, router, morticer and maybe the lathe. Would this do a job enough (obviously i'd blastgate things)...

Why does this machine cost so much? Oscillating edge sander

Veg is more complex than that. Fertiliser, seed, irrigation, land costs and specialised machinery cost a fortune.

Why does this machine cost so much? Oscillating edge sander

They are probably actually making it for about half that. Less Vat. Axy's mark up. Shipping etc.

    qs block planes

In the beginning rutlands were doing quangy block planes for £30. Lots of people were a bit sniffy about them but mine was so good I bought a 4,5 and 6 soon after for bargain prices from Rutlands. And they are really good. Not too expensive too worry about a bit of rust etc. but nice quality...

    Dust extraction - some questions

I do have one question though - the nilfisk industrial hoover I have doesn't have a tremendous amount of suck despite being two 800w motors. There are no blocked filters etc. so is there a way of improving the performance of the motors or do they wear over time?

    Dust extraction - some questions

chaps thanks for the advice. i've been doing a bit of planning and decided the following course of action. I'm going to move some gear around and have the chip extractor dedicated to the table saw, planer thicknesser and one other item and run it along one side of the wall. This means I can...

    Dust extraction - some questions

Just trying to get my head around things. I use one of these for the P/T (chip extractor) http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-ho ... -extractor and yes its dusty enough. I also have one of these which seems to suck up dust and fly it out again http://reviews.wickes.co.uk/9987-en_gb/ ...

    Milling timber?

I recently felled a few trees after the storms. Got a decent bit of leyandii, some ash and some beech. Found a man to mill up for me and I fancy giving it a go. Not exactly sure what I want - the best I can say is a mix of everything, so ash and beech mainly for furniture and thinking of some...

    Multico morticer depth guage

Hi, Is it my machine or is it a bit of a pig to get the mortise bit in the machine? Hold the bit in whilst tightening the nut and bolt? Only got two hands! Any easier ways?

    Multico morticer depth guage

Ok potentially stupid question. Do I rethread both holes or just one? One is smooth the other is threaded (each side of the gap) I'm presuming only one needs threading but can't see how it draws the gauge tight?

    Multico morticer depth guage

It could be. Wondering what I can do as an alternative - would a nut and bolt going all the way through the two holes tighten it? Or maybe re-thread it with my aldi tap and die set!!

    Multico morticer depth guage

Hi, I have a second hand multico m3 new to me and I can't make the depth guage stay in place. I think it was adapted. Can someone tell me how the original worked? Basically the little bit of metal I'm meant to tighten with a nut on the circular depth runner keeps slipping. Can't seem to...
