    Making a dust extractor

I really want to improve dust extraction to a 3hp system. I have a 3hp motor and plan to use a thien separator bin and then vent the rest to the outside. Is can't find an affordable 3hp dust extractor so this is why I'm doing it. 750w extractors aren't doing enough for me. Anyone done this?

Saw blade for a Radial Arm Saw

Hi, Its a dewalt 1751 ras. Is it meant to have a 254mm one in? Typically I crosscut hardwoods and a little bit of mdf and ply. I'd say from 1" to 3" thick (3" would be rare).

Saw blade for a Radial Arm Saw

I have a dewalt RAS with a 250mm 30 tooth blade in and its gone a bit blunt. I only crosscut so I think i'm happy enough to buy a blade with more teeth - any recommendations? I don't really want to pay as much as £40 which is what Cutting solutions/freud/ dewalt will sell them for. Anyone...

    Radial Arm Saw stalling

I'm getting a little bit of motor stalling in the RAS - should i be cutting shallow depth and then moving down to full depth or does it mean the blade I'm using is not sharp enough? Sometimes its biting and running on a bit and sometimes its a bit slow to go through.

Tell me ab out HVLP spraying

Ok I want to get into this. Partly because my other half wants to upcycle some stuff, I want to finish off some of my wood projects and maybe with an eye on painting some emulsion and external walls on a house I'll be doing up (don't worry it will be just first coat emulsion not all over the...

    Which woodworking magazines?

I'd get a sub for finewoodworking online and then you get a lot of info cheaply. And then get books for a penney on amazon.

    Scheppach basato blade jumping

I can't get head around it. Been on youtube and google but I cannot seem to get the blade to stay on as a tighten. It just seems to hop off the front of one of the wheels all the time. The only thing I haven't done is re-check for the wheels being coplaner but having not moved them I can't see...

Yeah I agree Bob. They are a good company with good products and you can trust them. No one wants the feeling of being ripped off though.

I have some wood which I felled last year which I want to mill. My question is have I left it too long now - its been sitting about 10 months - didn't paint the edges. table saw slow start up

Axy 10" saw. Fires up and motor is running but very slow to get up and running. Is it just a change of belt needed? I thought I tightened it quite well but it doesn't seem to be enough. Its not done that much work so a bit surprised if a new belt needed already.
