    Lots of hot air

It does rarely flood. But I think it used to rarely flood a 100 years ago too. Most of the floods we see on TV are due to changes in river management, value of real estate being newsworthy and a lack of drainage maintenance

    Lots of hot air

I was asking how much they've risen already, not how much they've been "modelled" to rise

    Lots of hot air

My estuary village should be under water then. But its not. I wonder how much the exponential rise has been since WW2. We probably didn't have people measuring sea level rises so fervently as today either

You've got £600 for a new mitre saw...

I bought the Makita LS1219 about 3 weeks ago on ebay for £527 from powertoolmate. I got the saw even through straight after I saw it priced again at £625 ish so I think I got lucky with a mistake. Good saw, very big and very heavy. I think instinctively I would have though the 1019 is fine as...

I'm worried about what people will think after I die...

Money may not be the absolute. Its the thrill of earning, or its the tool which enables them to feel me secure.

Talking myself out of buying premium tools

All you really need hand tool wise is a no 4 and a no 5 plane. Some second hand chisels off ebay (1/4, 1/2, 3/4), a thor mallet is good but a hammer is usable and then maybe a couple of decent saws. You don't need to go ott. You can do almost anything with that lot

    Who makes decent kitchens?

Probably 5. Not 6 and 4 would be good.

    Who makes decent kitchens?

They all seem to be plastic coated weetabix in the merchants. I can live with that for the carcase's if I have to but any idea of were best to look for a nice kitchen without a silly mark up. I'm almost considering non fitted in my barn conversion.

I'm very tempted by your crafter tilting spindle moulder. Not sure if I would be dissapointed with it or not, ie should I go for better but it looks well priced
