    Friendship vs Greed

No I grow it, supply supermarkets and shops with food. Don't knock us, the nation is only ever 4 meals from anarchy and we all knew we had the food supply and there was not a shortage

Food producer mate. I also go to the supermarket and feed my kids. I know what food costs and I also know what its costs to produce and work closely with distributors Food (whole foods not processed and added to) is incredibly good value. But you can also chose to make it expensive

And a bowl of porridge and honey costs what? 7p?...

    Friendship vs Greed

They might do but its not usually for lack of cheap affordable food. You can feed yourself on £1.50-2 a day if you are willing to take responsibility for food budgeting. My point is that the "food crisis" is one largely concocted. There is a massive supply of food in the UK - I work in this...

    Friendship vs Greed

I expect 95% of people could easily have conceivably have concocted a good 10 days meals out of what they had in the freezer and store cupboard

    Friendship vs Greed

Not really. Look the panic buying was real for sure. Everyone thinks they didn't do any of it but actually pretty much everyone did. I'm not talking about trolleys full of toilet roll but everyone bought a little bit more of this and that and created a panic. There was and is no shortage of...

    Coronavirus

Why have some of my posts been deleted? I wrote that through it all the panic buying is worse as a media story than a real inability of people to get food and it was deleted. That is not fair to delete it. The mods are only encouraging group think and reaffirming one line of view by doing this...

    Friendship vs Greed

At the end of the day no one in this country has starved. People couldn't just get everything they want for about 8 days.

    Coronavirus

Only a total fool would think its the same form of excercise multiple times over versus one excercise event. For goodness sake the whole point of this is to reduce your exposure whilst still being compassionate towards the need to get some fresh air

    Bit of a shame

I liked him. Pricked the balloons of some who got terribly arty farty about sharpening and woodwork and brought it back to what it was - a craft which needs practice.

    Wet Wood & Coal

You'd be surprised the people in country areas who still use coal. Agas etc. I expect they will still be able to buy it via their business. Wood bricketts are brilliant as coal alternative in the woodburner though I have as much free wood as I need

Cordless tools - Best Platform To Choose?

places like powertoomate are the cheapest. Don't buy kits - buy separate.

Cordless tools - Best Platform To Choose?

For woodwork I'd say Makita. Cheap, plentiful and a good range. In my other work I use Milwaukee as well as they are a bit more industrial. To be honest the batteries and chargers are so cheap you can use both

    Post-Brexit international tool shopping.

Which begs the question what is the common market doing for Finns? Something is taking the money somewhere given that **** tools in Germany have decent prices and could concievably courier to you
