    Myford ml8 Disaster

No chance of repair. When the spindle came out it was badly scored and damaged and the bearings are shot. So they went in the bin. I’m going to take some pics and see if any takers on here. Think I’ll leave the turning alone. To stressful.

    Myford ml8 help please.

No it’s a link belt. Just wanted to clean every part and strip and repaint it as it’s not the best paint job. But I’m thinking of just living with it.

    Myford ml8 help please.

Hi everyone. Just got a early myford ml8. The cream one. Stripping it down for restoration. One problem the spindle will not budge. I have removed the two grub screws in the belt cogs. And the to in the collet on the outboard side. No amount of persuasion with a glaziers mallet will shift it a...

How to fit a base to a tapered pot

Thanks Niall y. Took some of your advice. And it worked out a treat. For the base I used a bearing guided rebate bit set at 19mm high so I could use the same thickness wood to fit it.worked out the angles for the top and bottom rim and cut them in the table saw before routing the birdsmouths...

    Dovetail jigs

I recently bought the lumberjack jig. It uses guided bearing cutters. Very limited success and very poor quality machining. Wish I’d paid a bit more for a second hand Leigh or learnt to hand cut. But patience is not my strong point.

    Selling tools on here.

That’s true. But I don’t think it will take to long 🤣🤣🤣🤣 just wondering if the same rules apply to swaps rather than actual sales. As I’m a big fan of a bit of bartering??
