Can anyone identify this length of timber I was given. I’m laminating pieces of it together to make turning blanks. Used one and it’s pretty hard.

Yes it was only cut down 3 weeks ago. And the is small amounts of spalting in some pieces. I have put briwax clear on it as that’s all I have at the moment. And it’s kept in a non central heated room. So fingers crossed it survives.

This is my first attempt at turning on my record power 305. It’s from a piece of very wet holly. So I don’t expect it to last. Chisels used were carbide ones by glen teagle from ukwoodcrafts.

SOLD. Myford ml8. Failed restoration project. All complete including disc sanding attachment. Just no headstock. Open to offers need it gone. Collect Welshpool Powys.

Someone had fitted the spindle wrong and tightened the bearings to much

I’ve still got the headstock and spindle but it’s cracked and badly gouged. Are you interested? Make me an offer

They stopped making them in 1980s no spare available new. Only eBay stuff. Plus I’ve had it with it.
