    Scoring/Marking stainless steel?

That is very generous of you, but I plan on doing it to a few saws, so was trying to find some way of easily doing it myself at home.

    Scoring/Marking stainless steel?

Its a japanese saw. Also it's a guide ... doesn't need to be super accurate Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk

    Scoring/Marking stainless steel?

The depth stop would work, but a bit extreme. I figured the lines would be a very convinient 'no setup, always avaliable' solution. Not really a stop, but just a guide.

    Scoring/Marking stainless steel?

Well the idea is that there would be multiple lines and you just saw to the closest. Having to mark it each time would not really be worth it Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk

    Scoring/Marking stainless steel?

So I had this idea that I wanted to try .... You're often in the scenario where you're cutting with a hand saw, and to check you're cutting at a consistent depth at both ends of the cut (such as cutting the cheek of a tenon), you have to keep stopping to look around the other side to make sure...

    Circular saw blades question.

Well - this is news to me. I almost certainly have the wrong ones in my tools no doubt! Found this useful image if it helps anyone

    Circular saw blades question.

I've never seen them sold as two separate items (mitre saw / table saw)? for example, I use Freud blades and they're just sold as 'Circular Saw' blades. Are you saying I should not have them in my mitre saw?

    Where does fraud start?

I know I shouldn't generalise, but I had my patio done last year and it's completely put me off having any more building work being done. I was quoted for the job to be done in 5 days, and it ended up taking about 3 weeks. Not because of the weather, but because they just wouldn't turn up. I'd...

    Where does fraud start?

Take for example painting/decorating. The materials are nothing compared to the labour. The problem these days is that you can be unscrupulous, get caught, get a bad name, ...but then simply start up a new business under another name.

    Pine and sash clamps

The problem with the aluminium ones is that they bend so easily! .. adding the solid core makes a big difference. I would say the flimsy clamping mechanism would fail before they bend (after the modification) There is also the argument that you really shouldn't need a lot of a pressure to clamp...

    When I am in charge!

One that requires me to sit in the barbers for aaaaages, due to people having haircuts that take 30mins at a time! ... and then get their hair washed, and then sit with a hot flannel over their face. ffs!

    - "I could care less" - Ending every sentence with ... 'You know what I mean?' - Ending every sentence with ... 'mate' - "Admins remove if not allowed" - like they need your permission! - Go fund me sob stories - Facebook posts with something along the lines of "I can't believe it!" ... -...

    Mythbusting!

The only time you'll get the red paint come off the Feud blade is if the work piece binds, which is really a much bigger problem!

    Making Grooving Planes

They do look very nice, but I need something that can mostly be used with one hand. And I was going to adapt it to work on the pull stroke too.

    Making Grooving Planes

Ah ok. When you're moving the fence in very small increments to get the perfect fit, say 0.5mm at a time. Is it hard to hold the plane in place? doesn't it want to keep slipping?
