    Workbench top?

From beech? As for MDF layers, it sounds like a good idea, but long term, is it really cost effective? I assume it would sag, and then you're stuffed as you can't flatten it and would it hold up to hold fasts?

    T Track Router Bit

Ah - the title suggested you were after one of those T-shaped router bits, but if you are simply installing the off the shelf Aluminium track, then you just need a flat bit. https://www.wealdentool.com/acatalog/Two_Flute_71.html

    Bench Hold down

I did try that, but there isn't really enough clamping pressure to counteract rotation for what I what to do. Yes I can use two, but then that's inconvenient! I also tried the same thing with an f clamp. That works. But it's inconvenient to have to adjust it under the bench (at least with my...

    Bench Hold down

I know everyone loves the traditional holdfasts. I just like the control of the threaded ones as you have more control of the pressure and they're far easier to adjust. My bench isn't an inch, it's a wopping 40mm :) ... which I know is borderline useable, but the Sjobergs work great on it

    Bench Hold down

I'm not a huge fan of the traditional hold fasts, I prefer the control of clamping things down with a screw thread, which is why I absolutely love my Sjobergs screw down hold fasts However, they do have one issue, and that is that the handle often gets in the way. I noticed that Veritas does...

    A Cracking Curry

Will have to try it! Although I find that home cooked curries always end up tasting like supermarket curries. They never taste like they do from the restaurants, .. there is is always that missing ... something. In this case, you're not going to get that amazing smokey skewering of the chicken...

Triton TPT125 snipe and rubber marks

As above, wax the bed, the difference is night and day. As for the snipe, I haven't found a way to resolve it. Having a longer bed didn't help for me (not sure why it would, as it's not going to stop the piece lifting). It seems that most of the snipe comes from movement in the cutter head...

Veritas Honing Guide Knob Thread Size

I've somehow managed to damage it, as it now has a slight kink to it, and doesnt tighten properly. No idea how, I've only ever used finger pressure. So was planning on just picking up an imperial bolt. That would be great Peter. Much appreciated. Will send you a PM Sent from my SM-J510FN using...

    Any boffins here?

Isn't this the same thing as with sealant guns? In that you can stop squeezing, and even draw the plunger back, ..or even pull out the tube from the gun, ..... and it will still seep out for 20s or so. http://albionexpertsonline.blogspot.com ... -drip.html

    Ad stopper in Youtube!!!!!!!

The ad blockers have helped us to some extent, but now, arguably, the adverts are worse! You get the content creater now doing the horribly scripted marketing, and then pretending that they already have said product and just couldn't be without it. Also not forgeting the cheesy smile and...

    Craft show rubbish

So am I the only person that quite likes the scorch marks on laser cut wood? I think it adds contrast and defines the border. You can test your theory of whether people like or don't like the scorch marks by seeing if they are willing to pay more for the hand cut stuff vs the laser cut stuff...

    Online "people watching".

It's the internet. You're allowed to do stuff like this. You're also allowed to take pictures of people without their permission and then poke fun at them on twitter.

    Dust extraction

They have spares for the filter, bags and hose. Is there much else you would need? Personally, I think their vacs are excellent, although I have not used the Henry style vac myself.
