I want to drill a hole in my saws

As much as I love magnets, I do try other options first as they just get covered in filings.

Thanks for the ideas. Went with this in the end. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk

    OSMO application technique

Key bit of information there! Really though? 60/40? thats quite the thinning.

    rebate cleanup hand tool?

I use my shoulder plane too. Not that it makes any difference which type you use, but for whatever reason, this is my favourite shoulder plane (I have another Axminster rider). It's just so nice to hold, and the way the shavings come out is a delight. https://www.workshopheaven.com/rabbet-c...

    OSMO application technique

I have tried it, that is what this post is about. Although I did use a foam brush, not sure if that changes anything. I think your idea of a thin coat is different to mine (and probably other peoples). When people are rubbing it on with a cloth, or non-abrasive pad, there is nothing to wipe...

    OSMO application technique

I don't really see how you can get a think coat with a brush, it's thick stuff. At least not thin enough to not have to wipe off.

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Love the woodwork, not sure about the lid. Sorry for your loss.

    OSMO application technique

Do you wipe off the remaining? or do you not put so much on as to have any excess?

    OSMO application technique

How do you guys apply OSMO? specifically on something that isn't a simple flat surface. I generally have been using a sponge brush to apply a layer, waiting 15 minutes and wiping the excess off with kitchen roll. But on something like a small box, I find it difficult to wipe off the excess...

    Drill press digital depth gauge

I know its a rickety old drill press so I am not expecting super accuracy, but quite pleased with how it turned out out. It returns to zero and produces repeatable results for what I want. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk

I want to drill a hole in my saws

When it needs sharpening then I'll sharpen it. But its not exactly expensive, so it made sense to me to buy it ready to use so I can at least gauge how it should be.

    "Budget" Table Saw recommendation

As others have said, half a single garage isn't really enough space for a saw like the the 619. Having said that, if you can work outside, then you could get something like the Dewalt 745 that you can wheel out. Not sure I'd agree about not having a mitre saw, I use mine all the time and...

I want to drill a hole in my saws

I bought it because it was a good brand and is ready out of the box. I really don't care what it looks like. If I was to buy a second hand one, it would need tune up, which I am not really interested in doing.

I want to drill a hole in my saws

Cheers guys. Didn't realise it could damage the saw plate, I assumed the negativity towards the idea was purely aesthetics. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Tapatalk
