    Sub £30 wet/dry vacuum cleaners

I think vacuum cleaners only work well with hand held power tools (sanders, tracksaws, routers etc), and as those are already 'portable', you only need one vac for them all. I don't see the benefit in having multiple vacs for these tools when they're so easy to switch between. For any other...

    gloves?

The lathe is fraught with all kinds of potential horrible accidents. I have always sanded the inside of small boxes (diameter less than 50mm) with my finger and a bit of paper, but apparently, you can easily get your finger wrapped in and ... well yeah .. not sure what it would look like...

Already got a pair :) ..I still don't get on with them.

    gloves?

I can't wear gloves. For whatever reason, I just find it odd not to be able to feel things. Same with sunglasses. I can't wear them as it feels like I'm being restricted of vision. I'm odd. I know.

    Work Bench Work Holding

To be fair, the micro jig clamps are very cool. It's ridiculous how expensive they are though, so I haven't bought any yet.

    Work Bench Work Holding

I have a vice on my main bench, which also has a few dog holes and some wonder pups. Which I use for mostly hand tool work. I also have another bench that has an MFT top, so lots of holes for using other types of clamps. Which I use for power tool work. I also have a metal working vice that...

    Axminster Ultimate edge

I really like my pro-edge, the only thing that bothers me is having to take off the rest very time you want to switch between flat tools and gouges. It's really quite annoying when you're turning a project and switching between tools a lot. Some kind of quick release clamp system would have been...

Bandsaw fence addition - What is this for?

When you rip, you either use the fence, or draw a line on the piece and do it free hand. Using the fence alone can give mixed results unless everything is tuned perfectly and the piece of timber is very straight to between with. Doing it free hand takes skill. This is allows you to work...

    About to take the plunge.

I honestly can't remember now, I just know I had to cut some of the original pieces. Maybe it's avoidable, can't remember. axminster-hbs350n-bandsaw-advice-t105064-105.html#p1195527

Essential Power Tools for starting wood worker

I personally wouldn't be without my tablesaw, not so much because I can't do without it, but I just prefer using it for operations that others may prefer to do on a bandsaw. A mobile tablesaw (e.g Dewalt 745) takes up no more space than a bandsaw. Any infeed/outfeed restriction you would have...

How the hell am I supposed to send a video of someone doing a massive FAIL in a text? What a stupid, ignorant question.

    eBay sometimes...

I was selling a small bird cage where I had the measurements given in metric. I had one person then ask for them in imperial ... Same customer then decided it was too far and would cost too much in petrol. They then had the cheek to ask if we would meet half way.

    eBay sometimes...

You can mark it as 'pending sale' or something to that effect.

    WOW! I'm in love.

Hardly an "American thing". There just happens to be far more American woodworking channels so it gives that impression.
