    Invisible glued joint

Folks I need to glue some pine edge to edge and for the join to be invisible. I've got the boards so that when pressed together, the joint is pretty much as I want, ie really hard to follow the the join line. I've used PVA in the past and in many instances that has left a dark tell tale along...

    UK Drills?

I used them once, they supplied some absolute rubbish, I rang to complain, they said that they would refund the cost if I sent it back. They also told me the bit I bought was Chinese. I chucked it in the bin and put it down to experience. Not saying that all their stuff is Chinese junk though.

    Duckboards

Thanks all, I have some teak that my father had when I was a boy, it must be 60 years old at least, I'll also look at the plastic thing, but our shower tray is German manufacture and of a size that you don't regularly see. Appreciate the input, thanks again.

    Duckboards

Folks, I'd like to make some wooden duck boards, essentially a grid to stand on, for a shower cubicle. Is there any wood which will stand up to repeated soaking without rotting? Or should I forget the whole idea?

URGENT - please read this - scam alert

Once had my credit card company call me about my account. Before they would tell me what it was about they wanted me to answer a series of security questions, I got suspicious and asked them how I could be sure it was a bona fide call. In the end we agreed to end the call, and I initiated a new...

    making gaming pieces

gentles all, I plan to make a board game - often referred to as Viking chess. The board is easy enough, and I could make some really simple pieces easy enough, but I like something a little more in complex for the men. Id like to copy the pieces shown in this 'how to'...

    Makita cordless biscuit jointer?

To save the cost of buying a dedicated machine, you could look at those router cutters designed for biscuits. I've got a cutter from Axi, easy to use, but it does mean you need a router.

You'll find plenty of junk. There is a decent 2nd hand place in Warwick near the Nelson pub. They do all sorts of stuff, and when I last looked had a range of styles. I'll look up the address for you.

    Great Rejoinders

There was a joint US RN fleet in the far east at end ww2. After an very fierce storm which damaged several USN ships, an American captain signalled an RN vessel and asked if they had been damaged during the storm. The RN vessel replied 'What storm'.

    Invoice dispute

I was owed money by a client. She said she couldn't pay. I did the whole letter etc, and initiated small claims court proceedings. She then said she would pay. She didn't. It never actually went to a small claims hearing. I was told that the next step would be county court, but that would cost...
