    I may be wrong, but I believe the Japanese don't use salt on their roads in winter. so you would need to get any import properly undersealed

    The end of fluorescent lighting

    Lidl usually has 4ft, waterproof LED fittings every year for around £15. Fitted them in my workshop and loft, very nice quality.

    Repairing plastic

    I use Acetone and ABS shavings to make a slurry for binding repairs on guitars. if you scrape the shavings into a bottle and add acetone you'll get a slurry in about 1/2 an hour. I also use the baking soda and super glue trick. Water thin CA works best as it wicks in easily and sets quickly.

    I worked in Glasgow a couple of years back, just before the climate conference COP 26. They were bragging that all the police vehicles used were electric, what they didn't mention was the banks of heavy duty diesel generators needed to charge them as there was no infrastructure to power them.

    Or try a dab of CA, on one piece and activator on the other as well as using Titebond, there'll be less cushioning between the pieces as it's not so thick as hot glue?

    I think I've screwed up - Help!

    A lot of stuff from China, made for the UK market, have 3 pin UK plug tops with no fuse carrier, which I understand is illegal but still gets through. I recently bought a Variac like that. I always cut the plug off and replace.
