    Concrete wall in garage

Thank you everyone, I appreciate the help and support. The adhesive arrived not long ago and the plywood and OSB arrived too. So I’ll crack on tomorrow. I’m going to try the hammer drill tomorrow with the Bosch cyl-9 bit. I’ll go with a Bosch/dewalt/Titan SDS if all else fails.

    Concrete wall in garage

Not too sure, I already borrowed the hammer drill from a friend. If I have to make the investment then that’s ok because I am starting to consider boarding up the entire workshop if this goes well!

    Concrete wall in garage

Thank you so much to everyone! There’s a lot of information from everyone so here’s the plan (I think): 1. Going to use the Bosch Cyl-9 with the rotary 18v drill 2. Or Use it with the hammer function on the larger hammer drill and then see if that works. 3. OR Grip fill is coming today so will...

    Concrete wall in garage

Hi everyone, I can’t seem to drill through the concrete walls in my garage. I am really stuck as I have managed to blunt my masonry drill bit and can only get through to about 10mm before the bit just goes round and round. I’ve used an electric hammer drill (700w) and just need some advice on...

Dust extraction size 125mm>100mm on ducting? or keep to 100mm throughout

Thank you for your comment. I don't have the table saw just yet but in relation to the ports, can I use adaptors or do I have to change the ports as they are 100mm ports as standard?

Dust extraction size 125mm>100mm on ducting? or keep to 100mm throughout

Thanks, In that case I should also have drop downs to 125mm and then use 100mm flexible pipe to join to the machine.

Dust extraction size 125mm>100mm on ducting? or keep to 100mm throughout

Hi everyone, I want to make my dust extraction as efficient as possible over 4 m. I'm struggling to choose between 125mm ducting or 100 ducting. I've got a 125mm port on the cyclone which has an adaptor on that can take two 100mm. So, would I need to use 125mm for the main ducting and drop...

    Electrics upgrade cost?!

I have two double sockets and two single sockets and they look old! It has really clicky switches. The fuse power board uses actual fuse wire so it really is quite old. The level of fuses inside though are quite interesting two 10A and two 5A?

    Electrics upgrade cost?!

Sparky said he will have to test that- as it’s a thick wire leading to the garage I hope it works- think the previous owner was a welder.

    Electrics upgrade cost?!

Thanks a lot, it’s a 5m by 3.5m space. What is the daily rate for someone in your area? Just want to get a good idea on budgeting.

    Electrics upgrade cost?!

Hi everyone, I want to upgrade a old metal electric board and add 6 additional double plugs with two 16a sockets/plug points. Lastly I need to upgrade the six existing lights to LED tubes. Is there anything else electrics wise I need to consider for a proper wood work shop? Also, when it comes...
