    Best router table

Hi- I’m in the process of putting one together. I’m going with the Axminster compact but I know record and Charnwood do some tables too. UJK Axminster is the sub brand for all the router based equipment.

    Wanted UJK Technology Dovetail Jig

Think it might be this month that it gets released. Craig is doing a video on it next week or week after on YouTube. So I assume it then becomes available for general public to buy.

    Mould growth in garage?

Ok, it’s concrete floor and walls and the ceiling is metal framed with a concrete roof. Sheltered from winds, not near the seas. No overhanging branches. Thanks for your reply.

How Good is Your Mobile Phone as an Angle Gauge?

There is a app called Grindr- not sure that would help with levelling off stuff. Sorry, I had to go there.

    Random- how many sockets?

Ok thanks to everyone for all the support! I’m going to go for 13 double sockets with 2 16a sockets too. Thanks everyone!

    Random- how many sockets?

How many 13A sockets do people have in their workshop? I was thinking of upgrading as I have 6 and it’s getting a little annoying unplugging just to use a machine for 10 seconds!

    Mould growth in garage?

Hi everyone, sorry for my late reply- I brought a hygrometer and have some pictures of the readings. It’s only went to 80% during the night? Ever time I use the workshop it sits at 50-60%. please have a look and let me know what you think

    Ducting height?

I like your set up. I see that by putting it high you can access other parts of your workshop as opposed to just one wall.

    Ducting height?

Oh yeah- sorry I meant 1500m/hr - on 125mm ducting. If you use reducers on machines will that effect the airflow dramatically?

    Ducting height?

Thanks, I’ll do that when I’ve got it set up. 👍 thanks for the help

    Ducting height?

Thanks- I think I’m trying to get 1000 m/hr so I might increase the duct size to try and get that. Thanks for the advice guys- I’ll try running a length along the wall and if my needs change I can always raise it higher

    Ducting height?

Hi Pete- it’s a 2HP and it “claims” it can do 2000m/hr@ 100mm and 2500m/hr @125mm. The whole length of the wall is just about 6m.

    Ducting height?

Thank you- the machines that need dust extraction are all on the left hand side. The dust extractor that I have has an outlet that is about hip height. I think I might go as high as possible then have them running down so I can do something with the walls in between the machines

    Ducting height?

1)Should ducting be as high as possible with drop downs to the machine level. 2) Or......should it be the height of the machines all the way? I want to know what people have done in their workshops. Thank you,

    Insulation thickness for walls?

Thanks, I’m going to try and use 50mm on the walls and use 100mm+ for the roof. Just trying to keep it warm for the winter and cool for the summer.

    Insulation thickness for walls?

Thank you, can anyone suggest a good type of insulation for the walls? Rock wool? Slab or roll?

    Insulation thickness for walls?

Hi everyone, Roof has polystyrene based insulation fitted under the corrugated section. I might need to replace that too as it wasn’t too great. I’m using a 2000w fan heater but I would like to keep the heat in a bit more. Thanks for your replies everyone. Roof will be a priority.

    Insulation thickness for walls?

Hi guys, I have. 6m x 3.5m garage and have outside access to 3 of the walls. I would like to insulate the walls but want to not eat into the space too much. What insulation thickness is suitable for insulating an out building garage?

    Mould growth in garage?

Thanks everyone, I’ll try to increase the ventilation and get rid of the spot of mould using some bleach/anti bacterial. I do need to look at the guttering- could be too much water on external walls. It’s a concrete fabrication that is single skin with no insulation but has two doors so it...
