    DX delivery service from Axminster

Ok well Axminster we’re really helpful in all fairness. DX said they had mistakingly scanned the package and now can’t find it! Apart from that- Axminster tools were really patient and lovely and sorted it for us. Panic over!

    Axminster craft table saw?

I’m considering taking the plunge and buying a table saw. I mainly will use it for hobby work outside work hours. Has anyone had good experiences with the AC254TS/AW254TS. I’m limited to 240v 13A in the garage and want to keep noise down.

    DX delivery service from Axminster

It’s really ridiculous. I’ve been lucky with Hermes that they haven’t actually lost anything….yet.. But this DX, they literally lie. In the long and short run that helps no one. I should have a table saw by now but I’m thinking of calling Axminster to let them know it’s been Nearly a week...

    DX delivery service from Axminster

Hi guys, Has anyone ever had any bad experiences with buying machines from Axminster? The delivery company DX failed to show up yet said I signed for it?! I’ve paid for it fully but just wanted to know if anyone had experienced this and what advice they would give. Thanks.

The quality of the blade can cause some wonder. When I changed blades it was less taxing so it’s the right move

    Insulation gap?

Does this match up to what you was saying? It’s just how to create a air gap which I was confused with.

    Insulation gap?

Hi- it’s not a garage conversion for living in but it’s for creating a workshop- but I’m really struggling with working out how to layer it. I was thinking of your method but don’t want mould issues? Possibly battons with insulation squished in but with a small air gap?

    Insulation gap?

Thanks for your reply 👍- it’s a single skin garage. No cavity at all.

    Insulation gap?

Hi- sorry I have a garage with concrete walls. Just wanted to know whether I should use battons like 2x1 or 2x2? And if the insulation goes on top or in between the battons that have been made? I know I want to use 50mm pir board to help keep the heat in my external garage. I was told about...

    Insulation gap?

Hi everyone- do you have to leave a gap for insulation when using battons? Or should the insulation be sandwiched between timber? This is for four internal garage walls by the way! Be good to get some ideas before I go to wickes!

    Britain's Best Woodworker

Overall- a good series, enough woodworking was shown. The big builds and skill builder tasks were varied and interesting. The design work was really nice and some of the joinery was good. Still think Rhada should’ve won! Overall good show.

    Mitre saw size?

I will have it in a garage/ workshop space mainly for woodworking. The rails shouldn’t be an issue hopefully.

    Britain's Best Woodworker

I quite liked the 2nd episode. Wish there was a little more in terms of techniques explained- but at least there’s something woodworking on national tv!
