    Dodd 6inch planer help please.

Paul, I am not sure you are missing any parts for the planer. The fence is 15" long 3" high and extends 3.5 " past the cutter block. It is moved across the width of the table attached to a 1" diam bar that extends out the rear. A lever locks it in position. The tilt is locked with a...

    Dodd 6inch planer help please.

I have the Dodd planer still in use (no thicknesser). I never had a manual but would not think it necessary. Setting the knives is a fiddly time consuming process. What 'lump' have you got left over?

I have access to a suitable router, jig and cutter. If the angle is wrong which part do I adjust --the male or female. Or is it...

    Worktop mitre.

I am going to instal 2 worktops in a "L" shape (into a corner). For convenience I am considering asking the worktop supplier to cut the mitre joint. Both sides are approx 2.1m long and hence heavy to handle on my own. My concern is how do I adjust the mitre joint if the walls are not an exact...

Just a quick question---is it possible to cut a vinyl wrapped MDF door and seal it with iron on melamine edging strip? Will the heat damage the vinyl?

How to change bearings on ELU MOF96 2 video's

When I changed the top bearing on my router I did not remove the base plate. (could not find out how it came off!) To loosen the 4 screws I used a hex screwdriver bit (used in cordless drills) and a small spanner to fit the hex size. If it is difficult to stop the bit rising out of the screw...
