Oh, come on guys! Just as I thought we had finally got back to a 'joke thread' it turns all political and bleeding-heart again. By definition, jokes are nearly always at the expense of somebody or other's limitations or peculiarities. If you find racism, sexism, nationalism or any other -ism...

I have many pet grammar hates! Over time, I will probably list most of them, but one which has just come up again is the use of 'purposefully' when the speaker means 'purposely'. Do people think that 'purposefully' sounds more 'correct' or 'posh' when they use it? Or is it just ignorance?

Most of the various arguments have been played out above. I have three large tanks connected together to provide drinking water storage at my house in Spain (necessary because the water supply is notoriously unreliable!). My advice would be to connect a short pipe into the bottom of each tank...

I would second this suggestion. Especially if the motor hums or buzzes when switched on but doesn't rotate. If you're feeling brave (and careful!) you could try manually rotating the blade (with a piece of wood, of course!) to see if that starts it running properly. If so, then the capacitor...

But isn't that the whole point of 'jokes'? They are usually plays on words that take a serious subject and make it humorous. Unless one is setting out to be objectionable, no offence is intended and none should be taken. Just look at some of the other jokes in this series: #189 might upset...
