    Personally all the stud work I do 100 X 50 timber with 400mm centres, check out the toggler fixings (snap toggler) they are really excellent for heavy stuff.

    I would very highly recommend Jobman fitters trousers, I've four pairs the oldest are 4 years old and nearly worn out now. They are quite expensive but worth every penny , I wouldn't have work trousers without built in knee pad pockets ever again.
