Sorry, I didnt make myself very clear at all, i did mean exactly what you said, group items by their use and move them on. cheers Craig

    where to sell engineering'y tools/things?

this is a tiny amount, and while i appreciate it would be good practice to separate things and sell individual items, im probably going to job-lot a large amount in one go, the financials aren't really a priority, it's more clearing everything so my mum can get back to some kind of normality...

    where to sell engineering'y tools/things?

oh im definitely keeping a few things to use, but there is a lot that i just have no use for and they may be a good deal for someone that will get that use from them.

    where to sell engineering'y tools/things?

alas I dont use facebook, i think ill just throw it as a job lot for £50 to anyone that wants to take a punt on gumtree or something, as this is the tip of a rather large iceberg and we have a lot of tools to clear out so mum can get back to some kind of normality. i think theres a world of...

    where to sell engineering'y tools/things?

I'm not sure if that breaks any rules, I picked up a few things today, but most of it is a 2-3 hour drive and I won't be doing that again until maybe the weekend. Here's what I picked up

    where to sell engineering'y tools/things?

Hi all, Apologies if this is the wrong place, do feel free to tell me to jog on if this breaks any rules. Unfortunately my father passed last week, and he was known to dabble with metal butchery. while we are going through stuff left behind, apart from a bunch of snap-on sockets/spanners etc...

    Used machinery suppliers

As the title suggests, apart from the "bay" and "gumdrop", are there any recommended suppliers of used machines? at this point i'm looking for a few specific bandsaws and considering the climate and how many of these things there are out there i find it strange there are not more around...

    Philips Hue or something else?

Personally I only use Hue for lighting, but lifx colours are richer and they are also brighter (more expensive though). don't underestimate the value of motion sensors/smart light switches/contact sensors and other smart addons. I control a lot of the automation with smartthings and sharptools...

Apologies for yet another choice bandsaw thread

cheers Tom, That Griggio is 2 grand in Wantage and it does look like it will take a huge amount of room, factor in a vfd and a courier, id imagine thats another 500. im not in a huge rush, to wait for the right machine to come up. id hate to think how much it would cost to get that 4400 here...

Apologies for yet another choice bandsaw thread

i think i need to limit myself and lower my requirements, otherwise it will be a case of having huge machines and nowhere to actually use them in a single garage :) as much as i would like more bigger more better, id have to limit to 16-18" which will of course lower my resaw capacity. I guess...

Apologies for yet another choice bandsaw thread

its not going to be a daily use as woodwork is purely a hobby for me. but i would rather buy something that i know that can do what i ask of it rather than have the need and have to buy something else....buy once , buy right etc. Electrics aren't an issue, i just had a 16a circuit installed for...
