    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

So turn it on and the flag is red, after it trips the flag is black. Same as pressing the test button. I do remember the electrician doing earth checks when he installed the circuit which were all fine, it was only turned on yesterday for the first time.

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

The plug is good and when the blade briefly turns (an inch maybe) it goes in the right direction :)

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

Oddly enough, when i read the specs and it said "no plug" i went and bought a spare, to which i just wired up to an outdoor security light that works like a charm.

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

This just in... While tinkering with blade guides and fence alignment, i been doing the age old thing of "ill just test it again"....like something magical would happen and it would all start being nice. However! now when you press start, it still trips the breaker, BUT the blade moves an...

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

ill see if i can get the electrician to pop in tomorrow to take a look, id rather rule that out before i goto Laguna for advice. hmmmmm the RCBO next to it is 20A for the sockets......I wonder......I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to do the 'ol switcharoo

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

So would this Type B RCBO be capable of handling the startup of the machine? The likelihood is that if i go back to Laguna about it, I imagine the first question is going to be "is it a type C breaker?" if not then do that first

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

the rest of the garage electrics are fine, theres definitely power to the saw as (how do i explain this) when you press start theres almost like a medium loud click. It seems to me that its overloading the breaker causing it to trip.

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

im going to assume that B16 means its a type B and not a type C, the motor turns ok by hand, I wouldnt say its freewheeling though. I loosened the belt on the motor, no blade installed and still the same issue. Ill see if i can get the sparks to come over tomorrow and replace the breaker to a...

    HEEELLPP!! Bandsaw tripping breaker

So I just spent the last few hours erecting the new shiny delivery, set the guides, squared everything up, tensioned the blade and done the tracking. made sure everything was closed up, plugged this sucker in, made sure power was on at the fusebox........and......click. nada. just CLICK. The thing is, it's not just them, people go on about buying British etc. but they are just as much on the bandwagon, odds and sods from cnc'd aluminium at stupid costs because they know people will buy them....same as US brands like woodpeckers etc. and actually i dare say most of it is still...

What's it like cleaning the filters and replacing the bags? One of the things that draws me to cyclones is less faff and ease of emptying...they just seem to be huuuge

    dust extractor recomendations?

i saw Peter Partfit i think has a similar setup to that. i need something to suck whatever the bandsaw throws out of both its holes, id imagine it would be good enough for the other small tools i have.
