    Knee pads?

10mm holes in 8mm mild steel

I was more wondering if different brands, or drills aimed at different materials, would have bigger or smaller webs? So a posher drill has a smaller web for any given size?

10mm holes in 8mm mild steel

I' didn't know the dead bit on the point of a drill is called the web. Does the size of this vary much, so a smaller web allows a bigger step in drill sizes as you go up to the required size?

Sassenach- my Gaelic speaking neighbour tells me this means you do not have the Gaelic, nothing to do with coming from south of the border as many think :)

Oooer what's that for? Mine has a little flat section at it's tip which I think helps in use. I have found a different one pictured online which is wood but doesn't have a flat tip as your pic.

If only commercial vehicles were allowed in town centres rather than private cars, then as a contractor I would have to have a second vehicle. Same with 95% of the people on site I've worked with. Somewhere like Cambridge where sites became more and more cramped so space outside the building...

I thought the wooden thing at the bottom might be a gauge for filling a barrel, since you can get a jam jar sized plastic equivalent today. Rail levels is more interesting though :)

At the end of last year I read there was going to be a shortage of dog food so I bought enough kibble to last until August. No sign of that yet I think? I also read something about there only being 55 days between Brexit and 1st lockdown, now lockdowns are easing so whats next? Ukraine/Taiwan...
