    Model glider mini minimoa

These little monsters Jetex rocket motors for models, Wilmot, Mansour & Co., Ltd. (1948-) I had a couple when I was about 13 or so. They were fantastic fun and I think I managed to destroy all of the planes I ever made powered by them. They flew wonderfully, but the landings left a lot to be...

Don't forget that you will need to be CAA registered now thanks to the idiots who just buy and fly their quad drones anywhere and everywhere. I am not talking of the responsible people here, just the ones who have no idea what they are doing. I belong to the club South Cotswold Soaring...

    Model glider mini minimoa

This is my Minimoa. 10' span, balsa built from a plan, rudder/elevator and spoilers and a lovely model to fly. I've only had it about 25 years or so now ;) I have found the 50" model you mention and to be honest if you go any smaller than that you may well be disapointed with the result...

    Tiger Moths

Thank you AES. I hope that it flies as well as it looks? The original has a very interesting history. A little bit of it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DFS_Habicht

    Tiger Moths

Well Kittyhawk, you have some you have some lovely models there mate!. I have to admit that I'm one of the build it and chuck it off the side of a hill or send it up a bungy or tow line. I am building a 1/4 scale (4.3m span) 1936 German SFS Habicht at the moment. Don't ask when I started it or...

    Firewood to dish thing

That's a lovely dish Adam and I really like the shape of the wings. But I was once told that a very well known and high up pro turner had once said on a bit of youtube that if you start with firewood then all you finished up with was firewood, along with the insinuation that that's where it...

    Foot switch For Dremel

I don't think that I have missed it, but what about a sewing machine foot pedal? All that would need is a socket connecting to the output for you to plug the Dremel in, set the thing at flat out and Bob's yer uncle. Unless someone knows different that is

    C A glue !

Keeping it in the fridge? That sounds like a good idea :dunno:;)

    C A glue !

One way to keep it longer is to keep it in the fridge. It makes the usable life much longer. That's where mine has been kept for years now. Slightly different, but still on adhesives. Epoxy will go very thick if it gets cold. To thin it just dunk it in hot water for a few minutes and it becomes...

That sounds a bit like "Open mouth, change feet."

why dont tools last any more

It's called undercutting and an old full size hacksaw blade does a good job on that. If you wrap some of your wet&dry around the armature it's a good idea to fit the brushes and use the abrasive to 'bed' the brushes in. That way they make full contact across the complete surface and much less...

    Electric vehicles

That is a very interesting ***-bit there Sachakins. I wonder why it's not advertised more widely? May well be something to do with the 'non polluting' aspect of the sales pitch me-thinks

Things you say that got you into the dog house.

Just leav it hanging in the air for a couple of moments. That gives whoever you are talking to time to get ready to duck :devilish::devilish:
