Who still uses a safety razor?

Now? Malta? Funny that you should mention that? My first visit to Malta I didn't have a beard and couldn't grow one either. But my excuse was that I was only 10 :? My 'old man' was stationed at Luqua and we lived in Kalkara Creek for most of the 2 1/2 years we were there. I did go to both...

Who still uses a safety razor?

At that time I had finished with jankers and had 3 stripes on me arm. I was the only senior NCO in a Mess of 1500 with a beard, and proud of it   My ex was a nurse in the families centre and because of that I got to know all the MOs. I had ingrowing hair under my chin and...

Who still uses a safety razor?

I thought that a kitchen was the same as a fume cupboard? Ours is   I once made a grp nose cone for my Geoffery-Relaint 850 racing car in our bothroom. That marriage lasted 8 years, but at that point I thought it was going to finish after 8 months :? :? Not sure why :?

Who still uses a safety razor?

I haven't read all this thread, but my OH ain't seen me sans beard. I stopped shaving in 1973 as a Sgt at R.A.F. Brize Norton for my last year in the R.A.F. and I ain't been bare chinned since. I thought that it was high fashion these daze to be hairy? In fact I thought about shaving mine off...

    Damn.. It's my Birthday Today

26? I had not been long back from 2 1/2 gruelling years in Singapore sweating my knuts off driving my 1946 MGTC around and repairing Royal Air Force aircraft and sinking as much Tiger beer as I could. Yes I remember 26, BUT I'm willing to bet that you can't remember 60 or 70 :mrgreen...

I am a great fan of hard wax oil. I recently did a kitchen island beech top that I had made. It seems fairly bullet proof and looks as it did when I did it a few months back.

If you were driving behind this ...

I think that doing a job like that you would need a good sense of humour and that bloke has!! We had a septic tank at our house outside Stroud. When the honey bucket truck came to empty it he had a sign on the back "It may be sh!t to you But it's my bread and butter" Note the ! instead if an...

If you can turn egg cups then you could do the same Coley. It's just a case of making the basic shapes and careful marking for the drilling. I use a Forstner bit to drill the holes. These were the originals And this shows the twst better. Fun to make too!!

I do love the finish on the guitar!! This is something that I finished off with a polish this morning. It's the second time I have maed egg cups like this. The 1st was for a turning challenge. They didn't get anywhere and the only comment about them was that they weren't very hygienic and would...

Finally finished and fitted today!! A slight problem with the central rail fittting as the original owner had fitted a 1/4" square door handle connecting rod into the wall to take the weight of the fitting. Very strong but a pain in the sitapon!! SWMBO is reet chuffed with it, as am I!! The...
