    Compressor hose adapter?

That Guppy looks like a nice little model and would go well on an electric motor me-thinks. I'm not too keen on the smelly noisy infernal combustion engines. They upset my hangover  The Minimoa will only be sprayed on the solid surfaces and not the fabric. Plus, I will probably be...

    Compressor hose adapter?

Definitely 1/4 mate. https://anticsonline.uk/N523/N430/N2371 ... brush.html I have 3 gliders I want to spray. One is now about 25 years old and needs some TLC. A 10 foot span semi scale Minimoa from the mid 1930s. A lovely gull wing model.

    Compressor hose adapter?

I am just starting out to do some airbrushing on my RC model gliders. I have a compressor and it has a 'normal' push fit hose connector. I also have a short length of hose that was used for something else and it has a 3/8" screw thread fixing on teh output end. The airbrush I am getting has a...

    Bandsaw blade cleaning?

I use 3in1 silicon spray on my bandsaw and hand saws. It seems to stop build up on the blades and makes the hand saw a lot easier to push through the wood too.

    Wood for nibbles bowls

I used to get my wrist smacked hard when I licked the bowl and I was told to flush it instead    Oooops! I shouldn't have let that one out of the bag

    Wood for nibbles bowls

I have to admit that I had my doubts about that Robo and agree that the web is often a web of myth. Yew is one of my favorites to turn and I too have turned a good number of bowls and dishes from iy, but I have stopped at doing so for things like babies rattles though. I suppose that in this...

    Wood for nibbles bowls

Any fruit wood, beech but not yew as it is poisonous and not good for your health  Walnut also has a lovely grain or lelandii. Believe it or not leylandii, when it's good and dry, turns beautifully, has a lovely grain and takes a really good finish. See below What sort of size? I...

    First go at inside-out turning.

That looks pretty good from where I am sat Ian. My 1st try was not very good and for a challenge my second was a 3 bit job that I really liked and then onto an 8 bit!. That was quite exciting :? :? I too found it difficult to imaging what it would look like the right way round. I didn't...

    Tips & Tricks

No Robo, it's one of these, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1p_Cn9McIsc but mine is used on my pillar drill. It has a semi hard thin rubber surface and I use Rhynogrip velcro backed abrasives in it. The velcro backing doesn't really matter, but the stuff is very good and supplied from someone...

    Workshop apron

When I'm in my workshop I put on my turners jacket. Just 2 pockets and they are in the back, but easy to reach. They don't drop things out of them and they don't attract rubbish and bits from turning. The only things in there is what I put in. Plus the sleeves have velcro fastenings so can be...

    Summer's arrived ...

Sounds a bit like the French and their 'ortolans'. That ***** that was kicked off top gear, the stupid so called motoring programme, was filmed eating them at one stage. You have to put a black cloth to cover your head and plate to eat them. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrin ...

    Summer's arrived ...

The 'hunters' in France always amused me. In the first couple of months of the 'hunting season' the first thing on the 'to shoot' list is other hunters and their dogs! The odd lady sunbathing in her garden was good too. That one was when a 'hunter' heard a noise through a hedge that he thought...
