I am turning long type things....5” up to 10” but I’d like to have spare room just case...bowl turning would maybe up to 10” diameter.... I’m now a bit weary after reading the other comment on the dimly 305

Hi john.....I have been looking at the dml320.....but have glanced at the others too. I’m not really sure on the Axminster stuff....,,Chinese?....and Rutlands are starting to seem like a b and q.....with another Axminster looking lathe. Steve

Hello there... I still have mine. The skilled mans gold dust.i served mine in precision engineering....aircraft fuel pumps etc...served time 1971/76....gained full tech certificate in production engineering...there must be others out there with indentures...,,ps they were on parchment...

Thanks for the reply.... I have looked at the Paragon machine colours range....very nice too. It’s just a shame they don’t do 500ml tins...I don’t fancy wasting loads of paint. The drill is not very big.....but being ex RR engineer I find it interesting.... Steve

Good evening I have just received an old champion no2 pillar drill....it really needs a clean up and paint... I am wondering if I should or could paint it with smooth black hammerite.... It is the old grey colour and I think it’s been washed over with some sort of other grey... Any ideas would...

Hello all... I am wondering if anyone has come across one of these small bench drills.any details regarding the colour they were painted....also the design of the rear pulleys to facilitate the right angled belt setup.... Would be nice if anyone had a manual for one .... Not hoping too much am...

Thanks Duncan...I think I may try making a washer up with a register running true....but as you say a bit of runout is not the end of the world..as long as I have something to grip and turn safely.....result! I’ve not done too bad Upto now.....hehe
