    Fox F50-842 2hp dust extractor

I can’t see a problem mounting it on a wall. From the motor it’s just a flexible pipe. I have a similar motor hung from my wall. This unit actually came with wall mounting brackets. I’ll post an image later. Don’t know how to do that from my phone

Drill press table / stand / cabinet. What have you made?

I like the bit storage on that.

Drill press table / stand / cabinet. What have you made?

Cheers Phil. Sounds logical and practical. Any pictures? My shed is pretty small so I was thinking of a narrow tall cabinet fastened to the wall. At the moment it just sits on a support shelf on the wall. It's not a proper drill press, just one of this cheap ones from Machinemart. Does the...

Drill press table / stand / cabinet. What have you made?

I'm thinking of making a cabinet for my pillar drill. Something with some drawers to keep my drill bits in etc. Also wanting to incorporate some sort of dust extraction and some adjustable supports for larger workpieces rather than trying to balance them on the small table it comes with. What...

    Dropped a clanger..

Years ago back in 1992 or 1993 I worked in a print company in Holland as a desktop publisher and had to design the schedules for APL (American President Lines). As websites were still a new thing back then they wanted in big writing: Visit our Website which I spelled as Webstie. No one proof...

    Dropped a clanger..

Well, Betsy or Betsie or Beastie is all ready for round two of painting. They look better unpainted anyway. Just got the letters to cut and make sure I cut them right tis time.....

    Dropped a clanger..

Surely easier to do that by deed poll than having to clear this mess up...

    Dropped a clanger..

When someone orders a toy box with the name BETSY and you spell it BETSIE. Best start chiseling, sanding, painting and cutting new letters again. Could kick myself really... :|

WHAT IS THE BEST ROUTER TABLE.

I’m looking at upgrading to a new table saw in Jan so will keep these in mind. Does the supplied T track just screw in / bolt in to the extended fence of the Axi 250? Thanks btw. You’ve been a great help so far.

WHAT IS THE BEST ROUTER TABLE.

Definitely. I have had my finger caught once. Not properly, but enough to make you feel iffy and not be able to work for two weeks. The table saw guides, don't they get in the way when using a push stick Mike? I've used the router table a lot today routing all plinths and lid surrounds for the...

Make sure you cover them with some polythene as they do warp quite easily being laminated. Laminated as in strips of pine glued together, not veneered. It's only a problem for the lids as the side panels get straightened in the dovetail jig. Just a bit harder to get them together. Renders your...

Thanks Will. It's 18mm laminated pine . They come in 600x3000mm sheets. The whole of the box is made out of it. I don't believe in putting cheap ply bottoms in. Misses Ray paints these on her days off. Sometimes even cuts some letters when it gets too busy. :D That's some bandsaw you've...

That's a very nice unit indeed Buckeye. I've never attempted anything that big. Just finished this today. Just another toy box but with an added divider to separate toy I assume.

WHAT IS THE BEST ROUTER TABLE.

Christmas came a little early as I ordered these yesterday. Came through about 11 today and I'm impressed. No more messing about setting featherboards all the time. These are going to save me a lot of time! Cheers for mentioning them Mike.

Which bearing guided dovetail router bit?

Well, the Axminster cutters came through the post really quick as per usual and I can say I’m quite impressed. I did locktite the gub screw as that’s the only complaint on the reviews. I ordered two cutter just in case but I have now made 19 toy boxes with the first cutter and it doesn’t...

    Axminster TS250-2 modifications.

I'm cutting small panels of 770 x 400 out of 3000 x 600 sheets of 18mm pine but the finished edge isn't great with a track saw / circular saw so I'd like to cut all these on the TS

    Axminster TS250-2 modifications.

The depth of cut is not a problem, it's the width to the fence I need as wide as possible. My current TS has a max cut of 300mm so the new Axe TS is no good to me.
