Virtual shopping at Wickes and B & Q

How do you stand collecting it being a non essential trip? Misses ordered some soil/compost etc for the greenhouse and is picking it up on the way back from work. Hopefully the nurses uniform works when she gets pulled over at the various roadblock around our village...

    Impact driver

I've bought a box of these about 3 years ago. Only snapped 2 so far with everyday use. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Milwaukee-49 ... _cAD5-uZoA Wera ones are very good too. I also bought a set of Makita gold bits as most of my power tools are Makita but they snap very very quickly.

Home schooling, not just for kids!

world-geography-games.com app.bedrocklearning.org purple mash.com ttrockstars.com These are good learning sites to use on top of what they've been given from school. PE with Joe live on Youtube is good too so the kids don't end up like a tub of lard at the end of all this....

Well the helicopter went reasonable well. It all works. I can't upload a picture as Postage is down for maintenance for the last couple of days. Made a small bird house with my 8 year old. Not sure how many birds it will attract as he's painted it bright blue. We'll be starting DT project...

The garden whirligig will be next week. The bird box is a good idea for my 8 year old today. He doesn't have DT lessons but now will.

I like them. I found them on some American website a few years back and actually use the same design as a potable table for my chop saw. I build two of those and they're in use everyday.

All good ideas. We're doing 1 hour DT every other day. I'd like to do more but there's so many other subjects to get on with. We started with a simple helicopter where the rotor spins via two cogs. Should be ready later this week.

That’ll make a nice toolkit for him. Or a nice carrier for dad to take my beers to the hot tub later....

What to make with your kids now schools are shut.

My oldest son is in his first year of comprehensive school (Y7) We have been given plenty of work from both schools for both kids to get on with whilst schools are shut but the DT (design/technology) teacher has asked my oldest son to make some projects whilst off school. Now, making stuff is...

    Makita DRT50ZX4 or Makita DRT50ZJ

I purchased the Makita battery router a few months back. I’m actually use it more than I thought. I bought the bare tool in MacPak case and added the plunge base, two 5Ah batteries and a charger. The 5Ah batteries last well but take ages to charge. Powertoolworld has an offer on batteries...

    Makita LS1018L bearing replacement help.

I have a Makita LS1018L mitre saw and the sliders are a little jerky now and then. I have put some machine oil on the inside of the linear bearings a few months ago but it didn't last very long so I have ordered new linear bearings, dust rings and covers. I've taken two bearings (left side)...

Router table and router with lift

I don't have a problem finding the switch but what really get's on my nerves is that the switch cover gets stuck all the time. Sometimes I'm unable to close it altogether. I've stripped and cleaned the thing a couple of times and it's OK for a bit but I don't have time to do that all the time...

MAKITA CXT DRILL SET 10.8V DRILL AND IMPACT DRIVER - SOLD.

You'll not be disappointed with these. I have the same set to keep on the bench. Much easier to handle on a daily basis compared to the 18v ones I've got and they do have plenty of power.
