    Oscillating bobbin sander sleaves.

I buy my sleeves from Machinemart. Probably the same machine as yours but in blue. They seem fine. I do use one of those sticky blocks to clean them so the last a little longer.

    Dust extractor buying advice please.

Ended up buying the Fox F50-800 and the suction is great. A lot quieter than my old Sip bucket. Only bad point I can find is the hose as it's a bit on the heavy side and pulls on the sander so have to hang it from a hook above. Not sure how long it takes to fill the bags but being used with...

    Cheapest 100mm cyclone

Just wish they were still around. Wasn't looking forward to the assembly but the reports were very very good and really wanted one. I have one of those small cheap Chinese cyclones which is OK but has 50mm ports so suction is reduced dramatically.

More DIY tools at Lidl from 30 August.

I do buy tools from Lidl and sometimes Aldi. I tend to leave the 'this could kill you' machines like angle grinders, circular saws etc but the air nail guns and drill bits etc seem good vfm.

    Cheapest 100mm cyclone

I've had my eye on the 100mm cyclone from http://cyclonecentral.co.uk for a bit but they were out of stock and now it looks like they've just disappeared all together.

    My recent injuries.

Hope you're feeling better soon Coley. Back pains are rather annoying and painful. I broke my back when I was twelve and had back problems ever since. Now 42 and just into week two of Sciatica after walking funny with gout for a few days. A real pain in the arse literally... Your workshop...

    Saw stop

I have just watched a few Youtube videos on the Sawtop system. It looks impressive but it seems to do the same with wet (conductive) timber. Could be an expensive practise. I think Jacob hit the nail on the head. If you're not competent enough to use a table saw without chopping off your...

    Lathe Advice

I'll get it out soon and snap some pictures if you like. Axminster still sells it but its white as mine is blue. There's a variety of chisels, some Robert Sorby, some generic. Two chucks IIRC and some tools and rests. Quite a few blocks of different hardwoods to get started. I have used it...

    Aldi nail gun

Looks OK to me. I have a couple of Workzone tools and some Parkside (Lidl) and they've been fine. Already have 3 air powered brad nail /staple guns and a Makita 9.6V stapler so if I buy one of these I'll probably getting frowned upon... again.. . Already being questioned why I have 7 routers...

    Hello I'm new

Yes, the letters are cut both with a bandsaw and fretsaw. A box takes me about 6 hours to build. A little shorter if I make 2 or 3 at the same time. The dovetails aren't anything special to cut. The dovetail jig setting never get changed and I keep a dedicated router so both are always ready...

    Lathe Advice

I have a small Axminster lathe here that I don't use anymore due to lack of space and time. This will likely go up for sale with a variety of chucks, plates, tools and chisels. You're a bit far from me though and it too heavy to post.

Makita Jigsaw Straight Parallel & Circular Guide (FREE)

I bought this guide for my Makita DJV180RMJ but apparently I've ordered the wrong item as this is for the Makita BJV180 & BJV140. Free if anyone can make use of it. Collection from S66 or cover P&P

    Short on time, dust extraction

Is it an option to have two extractors, put one in the garage and the other outside the garage?

Have a good time out there.

    Dust extractor buying advice please.

I agree cyclones are very good at separating dust. I have one connected to my Clarke chip collector for my table saw. Not sure if I have enough room for a second cyclone. Off topic: what happened to cyclone central? I was after one of their 100mm cyclones a while back.

    Homemade T-Track?

Cheap alternative especially if you need a lot of T-track I bought the T-track from Axminster. Only needed 2 meter so not worth messing about.
