    Ash Interor 4 Panel Door

A waterproof laquer which is available in a number of sheen levels from the likes of Morrrel would be ideal, you could also get stain there if you're wanting to colour them. You would get several coats on in a day as its quick drying and it's possible to get a lovely finish brushing, which you...

    Staircase spindle movement

My intention was a pocket screw of decent length in a properly formed hole, not ideal but if it was angled so there was a decent amount of timber left under it to pull against would definitly pull everything together

    Staircase spindle movement

I'm with Mike, definitely the string moving when the staircase is used. Given that the spindles are butted onto the treads your options are limited and your idea of screwing through the spindle into the tread is probably as good as any. Make sure your counterbore for the plug is flat bottomed...

    Felder planer blades

I bought mine before spiral blocks were available Brian and knew nothing about planer blades in general, but the salesman did say that tersa were an option. I would have definitely chosen them over Felders if I'd been more knowledgable as they're much more commonly available. Like you I'd...

Be interesting to find out the conclusion of this as I'm due a set of blades as well (410). If I'd known what I know now when I ordered my machine I'd have gone for tersa

    How much?

Rich people aren't always spenders. The property I'm in was previously owned by a man who had the biggest coal business in the area, when coal was the main heating fuel. He had it from new around 60 years ago until he and his wife died about 20 years ago. He had a Rolls Royce but hadnt spent a...
