    The timber for the purlins arrived from Jewsons Dissapointingly it wasnt tannalised, they dont do 2x2 treated apparently, so Ive put it in the garage to get nice and dry before I brush preservative on. Couple of pictures of a pair of wheels Ive been busy with for good measure

    Problems with Makita LXT batteries ?

    Ive seen a number of non working batteries on ebay bid to good money , which would indicate either , the bidders are idiots (a distinct possibility given its ebay) or there is some way to repair them :?

    Looks very impressive Jon. Bit disappointing that they didn't show it very clearly when hooked up to the dust collector, which kind of suggests they havn't made much of an effort with dust collection :(

    Just read somewhere that lithium batteries lose about 20% of their capacity a year even if unused, so after a few years theyre pretty much goosed anyway :roll: . Better to have just a couple of batteries and work them to death than to have additional spares then. On a positive note the lithiums...

    Theyre about 15 ft Stoatyboy, the stables will have a 3ft overhang at the front so henry doesnt get his head wet when hes looking out :mrgreen:

    :cry: Unfortunately alls not well that ends well I sent them off to Makita and they sent them straight back. Apparently the batteries are American stock and not covered under warranty, so beware buying from ebay companies Now faced with buying 2 expensive replacements :evil:

    Just been to enquire about the roof sheets at B&Q and if you take out one of their trade account cards you get 20% off your first purchase. Equates to about £80 saved :mrgreen:

    I've got a Felder combi and love it , but I'd have seperate machines if I had the workshop space. Not built like the old Wadkin stuff mind , but what is these days ? :(

    OSB walls going up.

    Looking good Pete =D> . Personally I like the look of the OSB it gives a nice warm appearance, but if your'e lacking light then it's definitely best painted white
