I've a 8x4 sheet, 18mm thick. When you say "stack" laminate, do you mean glue them to give in my case, a 36mm thick 8x4 sheet?

Is Pineboard a good alternative to Ply for shop cabinets?

It's softwood Pineboard, which I can get at the same price as the softwood ply from B&Q (which cupped so badly I'll never touch it again). Also I can't stand that red colour of the hardwood faced ply

What do you use compressed air blower in your workshop for?

Don't get me wrong, I love using the blower gun, however I don't find many uses for it, if any at all in fact. Main reason is that it essentially lightly blankets my entire shed in dust. What do you use it for?

Solvent based lacquers-ok for wardrobe in child's bedroom?

Hi all I am aware of the health hazards while spraying acid lacquers. I've a tin of morrells one pack clear lacquer and I may use if over some oak veneered MDF wardrobe for my 2 year olds bedroom. Is there any health hazards (off gassing) associated with this stuff once fully cured? I assume...

    Festool RO150 for sanding veneer?

Got the RO150. Happy with the decision! Absolutely no issue when speed turned down and in orbit mode. Love the dust extraction, already had the CT mini. The fact that it doubles up as a polisher is a real bonus. The tool is nicely balanced and I haven't had an issue using it in terms of...

Finishing Oak veneered MDF (wardrobe) - advice

    Festool RO150 for sanding veneer?

I've got a lowly palm sander that seen better days and am willing to spend to get one sander to take care of all tasks from heavy material removal to polishing. I like what I have seen and read on the Festool rotex 150. However, it's first task would be light sanding of oak veneered MDF for...
