    Can't find an old thread

Years ago (and I'm talking over a decade ago) there was a thread showing a mod to the dust hood of a dewalt 733 thicknesser. It allowed the hood to be removed easily without messing with fiddly little screws so the outfeed table could still lift up for storage (it can't with the dust hood...

    Long tracksaw rail bag

Hi guys The rail was second hand from a member here a few years ago so didn't come in a box. I did actually ask the seller for the box but it was after they had been changed to cardboard so he had thrown it as it lived in a workshop. I have toyed with knocking together a box and I guess thats...

Sold Myford Super 7 metal working lathe - SOLD

****, I did see that and thought it was a wood bit but to be honest I wasn't sure. I think it need to go in a brace, which I don't own. There were a couple of other bits mixed in which I had already pulled out that definitely didn't belong in there. Theres still plenty in there that I don't...

Sold Myford Super 7 metal working lathe - SOLD

Thanks for the kind words. I have looked at ebay etc, and to be honest I'm not sure people always get what they think their machines are worth. Its also difficult to compare due to all the possible variations and different tooling and accessories. I've tried to be fair and put it at a price...

    Router bit size

The part you cannot identify is a trammel point, used to pivot around to cut a circle. Do not go sticking it in your collet or the spindle as has been suggested unless you want to get it jammed. A centering point can be very useful but that isn’t one. Mark

    Router bit size

IMO the problem with painted mdf is that it looks like mdf, which I wouldn’t want in a Victorian house that I’m trying to preserve the original features in. You also have the problem of the curve you are routing, fluffy edges don’t paint well without effort and prep and you have 100 metres to...
