Any specific tips on packing up a workshop for a house move.
Current shop is purpose built about 6 metres by 4.5 metres. New house has a detached double garage (though I doubt you'ld get the car doors open is you tried putting 2 in) of similar size.
Big items are cabinet saw, large...
Hi
Without knowing the size of the mitre slot, no ones going to be able to advise you what mitre guide to buy. If its none standard, buy whatever you like the look of and change the bar. Either aluminium bought off ebay (what I did) or hardwood.
As for the aluminium extrusion the rip fence...
I recently bought a second hand trend gauge off ebay. Sold as second hand but still in the packaging. It has a none standard bar and I'm guessing the guy selling it didn't realise when he bought it. I then bought some aluminium bar off ebay the correct size for my channel (Kity). Old bar...
Heres my set up, very happy with it. I see no reason to pay any more than these ebay prices

Welcome Paul
I'd say your kit is pretty decent and a nice large space
How are you finding the camvac, I'm thinking of getting the twin motor wall mounted as well. I'll be using a cyclone with it

So I've had a reply from the council
They do have an informal counter service but only for very general advice. For specific information on what is likely they charge £80. More of a problem than the price is the information they want. This is the extract from the part of their website...
OK guys thanks for the replies. I've emailed the planners to see if they do an informal counter service.
Bob thats the 50% I had in the grey matter, it wouldn't be more than 50% of the original footprint, but probably would be in volume.

I'd like to move somewhere a bit more rural. I can't afford locally to buy what I want, but I think I can afford to buy smaller and in a few years extend to what I want. I've looked at the planning portal which has lots of info about permitted development but doesn't give any rules on what you...
Steve do you have anywhere near you that does second hand ply. My shed is lined with 18mm ply that came down from building site temporary boundary fencing. Surprisingly good nick (the paint saves a lot of water ingress), just needs de-nailing sometimes if you can cope with nail holes. It was...
Steve why do you want platerboard? Would have thought OSB on its own would be much better than just plasterboard, meaning you can put a fixing/nail/screw anywhere you want to on the inside. What am I missing?

In addition to my previous comment of it looking massive, all I can say now is it looks bloody high as well. Hope you don't get vertigo when it comes to doing the roof. I think it might be bigger than the flat I used to live in!
Great progress Steve
