    Mafell P1cc buying advice

Just a heads up, but did you notice that the one you linked to above is only available from that supplier in 110v - I'm not sure whether you require that or 240v....

    Quiet compressors and pin nailer

Don't! - The similarities between the tools we use and what dentists use is already too close for comfort for me.. 😳

Joint Genie - gone out of business? Best alternative dowelling jigs?

    Dust Collection Bags

In the past I've used a piece of square profile electricians trunking, discard the top section, cut to the length of the cut made in the bag and lay the cut bag section into the profile and secure it in place by snapping in a length of suitably sized dowel. This sort of trunking:

Cheers Doug! - Yes as Doug said, I bought the Kregg Jig that he's linked to. its really easy to set up and use - and easy to switch between different size doors etc - The notching is done with a large 45deg cutter and works a treat - I was really impressed with the whole process and the results...

Festool kapex ks88 vs Bosch gcm 12 axial glide

I just bought the part online and replaced it myself Doug, so just cost me the price of the part which if I recall correctly was around £150. I did a few days later speak to Festool who said they would probably repair it for free but they would need to ***** it first before they would fully...

Festool kapex ks88 vs Bosch gcm 12 axial glide

You are right to be concerned about the motors on the Kapex - Ive got a 2015 year model and my motor just went pop - needed a new armature - a quick search online and you see its not an uncommon issue! I do however find the saw a real pleasure to use, it is accurate and repeatable, surprised to...
