    As others have said it really depends on what you need to weld as to what type of welding you would adopt - ive had a go at mig, arc and gas over the years - mig is the easiest and oxytocin's acetylene the most satisfying mig and gas i would tend to use on thinner gauge stuff like car bodywork...

    I'd love to have machine to dado with - i see our American cousins doing it all the time and can see its worth - ive been using my mitre saw to similar effect, but its not ideal.

    Ive just cut the tenons on the sash window I'm making with a router table and the ones on the meeting rail with a tenon saw by hand. I think a bandsaw may be the easiest way - but yet to get my hands on one to try.

    Hi there, not sure I can pm you yet due to post count - but I would be interested in this and I am not far away from you in Bournemouth. I actually have a small bandsaw on the way to me from Axminster a Craft AC1950B - would this EB be a better purchase?

Never done much before in the way of carpentry, but I needed a triple sash window making and I felt the quotes I was receiving were a little steep so decided to have a bash myself.
