I hope everyone having a safe and happy time.
while clearing my garage / workshop this morning I stumbled over a half empty engender oil. Then I realised I have few of them lingering around. After each service garage returns the remaining ~500 ml in the container just in case I need to top up...

Hi Pete
thank you for your very details explaining. I have tested it as you said pictures attached. I can see the ruler is not flash with the base plate of protractor. I mainly gonna use it for an square but the issue came out when I started to test different heads.
Following much thinking I bought myself a new combination square. It arrived today.
Starrett C9-12-4R Combination Set, With Cast Iron Heads, Centring, Square And Protractor Heads, Black Wrinkle Finish, Satin Chrome Blade, 12", 4R Grad...
I bought this square from Amazon the other day. Having just received it I noticed the protractor is not accurate at all.
when I set the angle to zero/180 the ruler is few degree off the base. And two zero angles don’t meet the reference lines simultaneously.

Hi Dave
it’s a shelving for the kitchen I am making.
I have some smaller pieces to cut.
timbers I have are 2 by 6 at 2.4 m.
so for each piece I need two flatten piece to be edge jointed.
I tried to attach a photo in a hope to show a rough drawing.
Saeid
I got it now.
basically I have 2*6 At 2.4 m. I need all of them at 150 as my project has a square Frame with three parallel divisions. I have enough thickness to plane the bow out.
I really appreciate the support of forum.
Saeid
Dear @custard

Excuse my lack of understanding.
Saeid
Thank you @Jacob
I have a number 7 jointer but on the convex side plaining along the grains IMHO will end up with a bowed thinner board. Isn’t it the case?
I was thinking of continuing with jack plane cross grain. And altering the sides and ends /middle.
Hi there all woodworkers

Hi there
My son has asked me to make him couple of boxes for Christmas. One is a small flat box which is fine. The second one however is a tall narrow box. Beside the challenge of finishing it the main problem is that I don’t have 12”x3/8 wood. Shall I get the corners mitre joint or joint some...
