For Sale Slightly used iTech 260s

ITECH 260S SPIRAL PLANER THICKNESSER 1PH 230V Very good condition, reasonably quiet planer/thicknesser for sale. I've had it for less than six months and only used it a handful of times, very carefully, so is in very good condition. There appears to be a 54 day wait on it at Scott and Sargent...

    Elm slabs valuation £?

I think you had a bargain. If anyone gets their timber at lower prices (especially in plank form), then please share where.

    Elm slabs valuation £?

    Slab/board, tomato/tomato 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Elm slabs valuation £?

I have a load of english walnut I'm gradually selling in slab form, which is also hard to find these days (at timber yards it's nearly all shipped in from Europe). I want a fair price for it, so it's taking a while to go, slab by slab, but that's ok as I'm confident of its worth and not in a hurry.

    Elm slabs valuation £?

If you could find someone/somewhere with a planer that wide you could use, or if you have the inclination, set up a router and sled flattening system of your own, you would get more money for them on ebay or somewhere. Otherwise I'd personally list them for £100 quid each on ebay as is. Might...

Axminster Rider planes (Factory seconds) on sale

I guess it's a bad start if the planes are faulty to begin with!

Axminster Rider planes (Factory seconds) on sale

Are those 2 in 1's any good? I'd like to buy a chisel plane to get in tight corners after a glue up, as I don't have one

    Elm slabs valuation £?

I don't know how much they are worth - I guess it would depend what the grain is like underneath- but I'm joining the thread out of curiosity!

Osmo polyx oil on white chalk paint?

Bump - surely someone has experience with this?

    Tennis elbows

Thanks JonM. You are absolutely right, I've got to change my habits and ask for more help. Arrogant, youthful pride has to bite the dust! I wouldn't know where to start with electrician training - but I'm starting a degree in traditional furniture making next month and it's what I really want...

    Tennis elbows

I've got one of those powerballs, bought it to try to strengthen my wrists back in the early days of scaffolding. Not sure it worked, but was fun trying! I think the movement would just aggravate my T.Elbows. Funnily enough, they feel better after I bit the bullet and just cracked on with some...

Resting it when there's so much to do on a day like this (or any day!) is nigh on impossible

I guess only time will tell what I can get away with whilst managing it.

    Tennis elbows

It's definitely 'tennis' elbow, or lateral epicondylitis I think they call it - although I've never been one for tennis. And golf gave me a different problem, around the thumb area! I've got those bubble strap things (on the outer side of my elbow) but found I had to have it so tight that it cut...

Bad habits. I know I shouldn't, but I still do...

I do both these things, but didn't realise until I read this! I'm betting I've got loads more bad habits that contribute to my often shoddy work - nearly all (lack-of) patience related. It's tough being an impatient perfectionist some times, and trying to cut mitred dovetails that were...

    Tennis elbows

Thanks Doug71 and Essex barn workshop, that's what I was hoping for, comments from people with experience of this problem. Both your experiences sound similar to mine, and it's good to hear that it's not the beginning of the end!

    Tennis elbows

Thanks for your reply imageel, I was working in a cold place yesterday in just a t-shrt and I hadn't thought of that! Next time I'll wear the elbow braces and a jumper.
