That is very nice work :cool: I gave up trying to cut all those fiddly little cut outs. I suppose a quick release blade holder helps.

All very good advice posted above :cool: Blade and teeth direction - I have been caught with that one when in a hurry. Just watch the feed speed, my small Hegner has a mind of its own especially doing internal cuts.

I have a whole lot of templates (door stops, serviette holders) that I copied onto some scrap mahogany 20mm thick. This is not the first time I have cut mahogany. I used the big Hegner polycut on slow speed and a #12 blade. Starts off ok, then starts binding, jamming, and rips the blade out of...

I printed a whole lot of patters, then glued (PVA glue) them onto some thin MDF or hardboard, cut them out, and these then became templates for future use (repeats). Take the template, hold onto wood, and draw around with HB pencil. Mark additional holes for eyes, ears, mouth etc.

Hegner UK are extremely expensive!:mad:
