    Record BS300 Band Saw

    Sorry to be the quiet guy in the corner who just reads the comments - but thanks; after reading the comments you have stopped me from buying a new record 300 band saw. So manufactures take heed some of us do read the problems and your response to them and you do lose sales based on what is posted.

    A little variation on the usual Theme.

    I'm still frightened putting chisel into wood - I presume the tree don't grow that way so what glue do you trust to hold the pieces together. I still cannot fathom out how you cut the wood to make that spiral lid its excellent. Gonna have to get some books.

    thanks for the help and comments - the motor is 3ph and it looks a simple change over of terminals to get from star to delta / low to hig voltage. now I'm on ebay to find a 1ph/750kw 1ph to 3ph inverter (anybody got a spare!). would like addition information as regarding the lathes stop start...
