How do you avoid tear out when doing countersinks, having trouble!! Got a decent set as well

well that has put a massive smile on my face - thanks for the help i now have square table - little bit of faffing about and the screws are probebly a little bit proud ( <.5mm ) but the cuts are now awesome and the wood glides through like root hitting one through the covers!!! 3 inch mending...

So ( excuse me I can be a bit basic ) replace current bolts with those and make the metal strap to tie the two together to reduce movement. and bolt to the underside of the bracket ( I havent looked yet ill be going up after my cuppa to have ago at this )

When you say combo blade do you mean 40 teeth Im in the market for exactly that and even though i watched the excellent axminster youtube on blades still a little bit confused as to what to get - at the moment Im generally cutting ply and ripping wood while i build my workshop-i have a 60t...

Im having exactly that problem - any fixes a newbie can look at - i thought it was the actual top but its not-every time i tighten the allen key bolts up it throws the back edge off by a fraction - annoying and generates alot of swearing!!
