    do the gates need to open past 90 degrees ? if not they can be hidden behind the feather edge that would also hide the screws with security in mind, you could also bevel the edges of the feather board to gain a bit more opening clearance .

    i have one of these between the extractor and machine i kept the pipe runs as short as possible sealed all the joins with duck tape and put extra foam draft excluder inside the the lid of the bin . my extractor is fitted with a bag not a fine filter how often do you clean the filter ?
