    Not THAT router, THIS router

The OP said that inside/outside are on different circuits so the extenders won’t work. The only other way I can see is to use an Ethernet cable but the OP seems to have ruled this out due to distance etc.

    Three unusual doors.

I did wonder about that at first. When I retired after my career in children’s social work I toyed with the notion of renaming the house Duncarin. But good taste thankfully prevented me.

    Replacing lead water pipe

So why not just rely on the water board stop **** outside the house?

Cutting out the panels in an exterior wooden door

Replacing with a stained glass panel would follow the same principle.

Cutting out the panels in an exterior wooden door

I did similar with mine about a year ago. It was one of those Carolina doors, fielded panels with a semicircle of 4 glass panels at the top. Completely unsuited to our Victorian house. I took the door off, cut down the sides of the panel with my track saw (finishing off the last bit with hand...

    Three unusual doors.

Aha! Great to see the historical connection.

    Three unusual doors.

Lovely work. But a question. What’s the significance of the name? The possessive case suggests that the house belongs to Lintel.

    Router for table

I have the Bosch router in my home made table and as Bodgers says all I have done is zip tie the switch in the on position and mount an on/off switch on the front of the table. It’s not NVR though, just a cheapie green button on red button off from eBay.

WHAT IS THE BEST ROUTER TABLE.

Depends on how often you use it. Every day, buy one (but I can’t advise on brand). Every few weeks (like me) make your own. If you only use it sparingly you don’t need gizmos like lifts, micro adjusting fences etc. Mine is a piece of MDF with a thinner ply insert plate (OK for my Bosch 1/4...

Any roofing experts here? Can I please pick your brains....

+1 for Rubber4Roofs. Very quick delivery and they sent way larger piece than I ordered so room to make mistakes in cutting out. But as Mike G says it is seriously heavy, so get help!

    DeskShelves

Thanks Custard, most helpful. I think I’ll leave it then and regard it as a sign of characterful rustication.

    DeskShelves

Without wishing to hijack the thread (which is excellent by the way), I’m interested in the dent removal technique. I have a dining table made from some kind of tropical hardwood. When I bought it I sanded back the top and applied two coats of Osmo Top Oil. It then acquired a dent similar in...

    Festool FS Rapid/R Clamp

I bought this with my track saw a couple of years back. I’ve used it once I think - the way I work I just don’t need it. It’s currently £32 at N&B, I’ll let it go for £20 plus couple of quid postage. Nick

Wood panelled look in a bathroom

I’ve not got a lot of experience with MRMDF but unless it’s going to be splashed with water on a more or less continuous basis I think it would be ok with a good paint finish, eg Sadolin or Bedec MSP.

Wood panelled look in a bathroom

MRMDF may be a safer bet and will rout more cleanly with no risk of splintering. Don’t expect it to be waterproof though. I used non MR MDF to do panelling in my hall and stairs, routing vertical grooves using Festool track to guide the router.

    Cutting into corner

I’ve done it it more or less how Mike suggests, though I used the track saw to cut to the line, finished it off with hand saw, then rounded over the top edge with the router.

    Nice piece

I’m sure that’s right, but our bows did ok at Agincourt
