Bosch mitre blades back on ridiculous pricing 2 for £13.47!

Recieved mine today and I am more than happy with the carry case, this alone is worth the £14 :D I can't comment on the blades as they are spares but if the are as good as they case I reckon I got a bargain.

    Planer/thicknesser

Haven't had time to use the thicknesser yet, i've still got to get the in-out feed trays set up. I think I'm going to invest in a book, as it can't be as easy as just shoving wood through it :?

    "White goods"

Got my Axminster WP 150 planer and Axminster ct330 today. Had a play with the planer, as usual I had a hard time getting the fence square. Put a piece of Sapele through it, taking just a mil off and it was a smooth as a baby's b*m. Got the thicknesser out of the box and the feed trays were...

Carry on with any helpful tip you may wish to...

    Planer/thicknesser

After reading all of the posts on the above and dithering for what seems an eternity, I have decided to take the plunge and buy a Axminster WP150 150mm Planer and an Axminster CT330 330mm Thicknesser. Both of these are on offer at APTC at the moment. Has anybody got any tips or advice...

solid oak floor from scratch is simple & worth the troub

Good morning one and all on this fine sunny morning :D . Reading through the post I thought it may be a good idea to make projects with the Oak purchased from the french Mill. Please excuse my ignorance if I am thick on this occasion (won't be the first time) but would there be any problems...

I'm looking for a pillar drill

I've just bought one of these about half an hour ago and put it together in ten minutes. Can't complain at £30. I checked out ten Argos shops and all were out of stock, also a third more power in the motor. I just don't expect too much from something so cheap.

Safe dados????? or why you need push sticks

Come on Charlie, are you going to make this a stickie? :? As well as warning everyone of the inherent dangers in wood work, there are a lot of good ideas that have come out of Tony's misfortune. I know the post heeps getting bumped, but I don't think it will stay up there forever. Cheers Phil

The importance of Health & Safety - a genuine case study

Hi John, It isn't my father I was talking about, I think we've got our wires crossed. As to hospitals being insured, they probably are, but compensation also comes out of the Primary Care Trust's budget. I must reiterate that I sympathise with anyone who is unfortunate to be on the recieving...

The importance of Health & Safety - a genuine case study

[quote="Neomorph"]Sorry to hear about your Father Ian. Did I read right about him falling while in hospital?? If so do you realise the hospital is liable in cases like that (at least I think they are). If you have been browsing these forums you may have come across my "Dust: A Cautionary Tale"...
