    Trend biscuits

I got a free box of 1000 biscuits off Makita when I bought their machine, since then I have left the box open. My workshop hover around the 50% humidity mark, will this cause the biscuits to swell? Thanks Phil

Fetool Ts55 EBQ - First Impression Review

Roger thank you for your reply, I have just read through Byronblack's previous thread and found out a lot more about the system. Paul, to be fair to SIP it was the basic model. However the fence was poorly constructed, it was banana shaped , I had to use a Trend guide rail as the fence...

Fetool Ts55 EBQ - First Impression Review

Sorry for sounding a bit dim , but how does it clamp to the piece of wood to be cut? Now that I have returned my piece of junk that was the SIP table saw, this has whet my appetite :D Phil

Mods, I've just opened this link and it is another language, should this be allowed or is it some form of spam?

    Screwfix!

The above mentioned has just arrived, ordered yesterday at 15.30. Well done to APTC, and not forgetting ANC. Phil PS. I could have amended my other post but I wanted to my 100th post :D

    Screwfix!

To be fair to Screwfix, it would not matter if you were ordering an item that was very heavy or multiple items, they would charge you the one price if under £45. I've just ordered some wax from APTC and I would not pay the £3.95 delivery, so I spent another £38 just to get free delivery. Phil

    Axminster dovetail jig

I did the same thing with a Screwfix version. I bought a replacement comb from Axminster which came from the white version for about £7, but it did not fit  Phil

    Wax polishing

Thanks for the suggestion but there is no need now Colin :D. I used some 3M synthetic steel wool 000 guage to knock it back and it worked a treat, don't know why I didn't think of it before . Anyway I just put another coat of wax on and then more or less buffed up straight after. It...

    Wax polishing

Thanks Scrit, would it be possible to use Liberon Black Bison wax on top of the bees wax, providing I can get all the swirls out? Because I have just taken your advice and bought a Makita biscuit jointer to replace my crappy Ferm one, I can't afford to buy a electric polisher :( Would it be...

    Wax polishing

Hello all wondering if you could help me with this problem. I've just made a laptop table and after reading all of the advice in this section, I finished it using three coats of Liberon finishing oil and several coats of Liberon pure bees wax. The problem I have is that all the marks are...

    Garden Chair

Thanks for your comments guys. Martin I think I will copy your design as it looks far more comfortable. The chair is not that comfortable to sit in, and my mother is going to buy cushions so that says everything. I think I built it too wide as your arms don't lay naturally on the rests...

    Garden Chair

Have finally finished the Adirondack style chair that I started three months ago. I made it from the top of my head and you may notice the design flaw. the big clumps of wood at the back of the legs  The angle of the back legs were too severe so I had to chock it, it's only the mock...
