    16 amp fuse question

Can a 16 breaker get put into the house unit instead of the 13 so if a hard start triggers it I don’t have to get to the house to reset everything?

    16 amp fuse question

This is what I have in the garage. Apologies for incorrect terminology but I’m not an electrical guy. Obviously it’s not like the old days and banging in a thicker bit of wire for a fuse but I don’t know what these plugs are called.

I’ll have a look next time I’m in the workshop, but I certainly don’t remember any wobble

    Record TSPP250 mitre slot size?

Can anyone tell me if the mitre slots on the old Record power TSPP250 are standard 19mm or if the Saw is too old for that

Sorry, are you saying the setup is wrong (which I know), or I’m wrong?

Why do so many woodworking youtubers use Blues/Bluegrass background music

They do, but they edit them out You leave beards alone, I look like a fat infant with an unusually wrinkled forehead without one 😂

    16 amp fuse question

The consumer box in my garage workshop has a higher rated fuse than the one it goes to in the house - I believe 16 in the workshop and 13 in the house. It means that if something trips the circuit, it rarely does anything in the workshop and I have to go into the house to reset the fuse board...

Why do so many woodworking youtubers use Blues/Bluegrass background music

Music is surprisingly difficult for people that make videos. There are plenty of subscription and free royalty free music sites people can use, so access isn’t the issue - even YouTube itself has a pretty extensive offering of sound and music for creators. The challenge is to get something that...

    Another plane old project

Yours looks excellent! I did a number 5 recently, the pitting is really really bad so after spending a couple of days on it I just got it back into use and it does a great job I’ve not tried the vinegar idea to take the rust off but I’ve seen online people doing that and then bicarb? The...

Low cost DIY Router Table lift facility

That’s an interesting idea for sure. I’m also working on a height adjustable process using a right angle drill accessory, no idea if that’s going to work yet though. By the way solid last name and spelt correctly, I’m a Pettitt too!

Low cost DIY Router Table lift facility

I’ve had my Bosch on one of those lifts Yojevol mentioned. It’s been ok but even with taking out the springs it can be a bit of a pain. Mostly due to not having an extended collet and it being a total pain in the backside to change bits This is a link to a solid DIY affair that I’m probably...

    Mini table saw advice?

I think there’s a Proxon going on eBay at the minute and was 80 quid last time I looked

    One of those days

I got into the workshop late today, but had planned the day to make a different kind of mitre box for easier and accessible box making, and making a video about it for my channel. I decided that I wanted to use one of the back saws I had restored recently. Had to dismantle it to straighten the...

    Warranted Superior Historians assemble!

I didn’t realise, but on the heaviest of the saws I picked up there is some engraving in the spine Apparently it’s a John Elsworth and Sons with the propeller Trade mark. Pretty cool I think and the spine is crazy heavy.

Old Stanley’s or new Quangsheng planes? Which do I need?

I flippin’ Love my old record number 5 and use it all the time. I know lots of people like a 4 or 4 1/2 though. I have an old Stanley block plane as well for the little stuff and the two of those gets me through most jobs. I did pick up a Stanley 92 shoulder plane Second hand which gets some...

AW10BSB2 table saw sliding table ?

Axminster are sods for that. I have the old 250 tablesaw from the Hobby range from years ago. Very similar to modern versions (apart from ridiculous sized mitre slots). Anyway, the fence runner looks exactly the same as the current one, so when a very nice chap sent on a longer version for me...
