    Corded Drill

I have a cordless Makita impact drill, they are great but not as powerful as this corded drill though. The drill is not fixed and works fine, I just added a little candle wax to the bit before drilling. It cuts the wood with no issue now

    Corded Drill

Agreed, I remember using my dads old drill that had a 3jaw chuck with key. I prefer that to my current Makita chuckles, if a drill bit get jammed in it would be very difficult to take it off. Thanks for the tip

    Corded Drill

Hey everyone After a few years of using my workbench, I decided to add a few more 20mm diameter holes for the benchdogs. My current corded drill, Makita HP1631, started to blow out smoke like a chimney. (The Makita has 710W motor with 6.1A) So, considering the 18.4% inflation ahead of us...

What kind of rust is this?

Here are the photos taken with my loupe. You can definitely feel them when you run a finger nail on the sole of the plane [url=https://photos.app.goo.gl/7h97nvnmo1JiUjHA6]https://photos.app.goo.gl/7h97nvnmo1JiUjHA6

What kind of rust is this?

Hey Andy The plane is stored on a plywood cabinet (it has only shellac and wax finish on it) and I really don't have much dust in my workshop as I mainly use handtools. I just finished painting the workshop with some damp resistant paint thanks to the global pandemic.

I have a 10X loupe and I just looked at it again, (i'm going to upload a picture of it in a bit) and it's definitely rust. I think it's called the Pitting Corrosion and yes it really does look like worms, maybe rustworm
