    I want Windows ME

Yes the modern versions are geared to selling you rolling stock without facilities for constructing your own stock and allowing upload to their program etc..

    I want Windows ME

Windows ME was around in 2001 and I used to run Microsoft Train Simulation, not for running locos but to build track locations and create my own running stock. The next Microsoft windows version would not operate their train simulation and versions offered by suppliers later do not offer any...

    Home business

Picture frames (art works) if you can get established, farm gates, nobody ever mentions coffins here but there could be something there I am sure if special designing is called for.

I'll need something to put my tools in...

Dan I think something went wrong with my first attempt at French Cleats, you need to think outside of the box with those.

    Tissue box with mitred corners

The repair to the bad corner works out OK: So will complete the box but next time I shall have to have better fencing in place at the Jet sliding mitre saw.

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Nice work with that dovetail caddy. putting the base on the bottom solves some problems as well.

    Tissue box with mitred corners

I did finish the tisue box last week with those dovetail corners but I do prefer the corners mitred and the opportunity to put in stripe designs without dovetail restrictions, So I attempted to cut boards again but used the Jet Mitre saw, I rescued the old workstation that used to be used with...

I'll need something to put my tools in...

Dan it sure looks a lot tidier than mine. (when dividing wood, take into account saw kerf lost)? I would have put both the timbers through the P/T on edge at the same time til they were equal.

    cutting mitres for picture framing

My experience of mitre cuts is not so much the 45% marking that goes wrong but because both pieces are not really the same length and then messing about trying to equal lengths causes more trouble. So the stop bracket is very important and pieces must be clamped when cutting, the machine shoves...

Anyone here made a router table for BoschPOF1200AE please

Thanks for replies, Got out my bosch router and its a no go for me, I do not even have the strength in my left thumb to push the plunge mechanism down. So I will most probably look around for an offer of a table plus router at rock bottom price, at my age I am only looking short term.

    A very bad day!!

Sorry to hear of your woes. Perhaps trade organisations could form a type of cooperative insurance fund for trades people for this sort of instance, and get back hanging for the culprits.

Stand for a Bosch Electric Planer

Robbo, would you really want to push a flat piece of timber across using palms of hands to hold it down? I might go with planing off an upright edge.

Aldi bandsaw....does anybody have one and can comment?

Got the vacuum cleaner hooked up on mine and the dust extraction beats my two previous large bandsaws and bandsaw is ok with a ripping blade as well.

    I'm back started another one!

Finished the construction but to be cleaned up. But have now hit another problem, I have strained or pulled a muscle on my right upper arm, it moves but no power at the moment, keeping my fingers crossed only a short term stop. I got my Record summer catalogue in yesterday and I was able to...

    I'm back started another one!

I did the side rebates first, mounted the lid on a length of 3x2" and held the top down using clamps as photograph below. (how do you use and set up for this operation please?) Then did the end rebates using a scrap straight edge on double sided tape to guide saw cut. (again how would you...
