I bought one of these, but can't remember where from http://www.silverlinetools.com/products ... tool+stand, I think it's great for the price and very sturdy.

    Waka's First Scroll Saw Project

Looks really good Waka. I'm chomping at the bit to get scrolling, but can't find one at the right price on ebay, prices are totally silly just now. I've been having a problem viewing images on this website but I can see all of your photo, which is a welcome development. Thanks for sharing...

    Ash

An expert on Countryfile or the News, I forget which, said it had to be burnt on site to stop the fungal spores from infecting other land areas.

    MY NEW WOODBURNER

I had the same dilemma earlier this year, however after speaking to a local plumber who has had a stove for a few years, he put me right on a few concerns that I had. I would recommend, for a start, to get your chimney swept. I used a sweep who had recently qualified as a HETAS installer...

argh! Why does the drawbolt keep breaking?

Have you checked that the blade is not fouling on its guides ? That's assuming it has guides that will prevent the blade from deflecting side to side and too far back. I've just got a Draper scroll saw from Ebay, wish I hadn't bothered tbh, if you go this route I advise you check spare parts...

    MY NEW WOODBURNER

He probably knows best, but: I do know that my stove seems to give off more 'economic' heat in the mid range of the thermometer, and research I did indicates if you get your stove too hot it may cause a chimney fire, and if you have a cast iron stove it may crack if it overheats. So I conclude...

    Rutlands special offers

Just ordered the pen making kit, and it arrived next day, so no complaints from me, but watch this space  PS: Kit was on offer, and I got a free delivery offer as well, yes I'm a tightwad, but who cares?

    MY NEW WOODBURNER

I have been lighting my stove for a few days now and can recommend getting a stove flue pipe thermometer like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/STOVE-FLUE-PIPE ... 149&sr=8-5. Mine came with a fine wire to tie it to the flue pipe and it has helped me to optimize heat output, and prevent overheating...

    router table plate

I got mine on 'that' auction site, for just over £40. Most are buy it now prices, but there are occasional bid only. Rutlands is mostly overpriced in my opinion

    MY NEW WOODBURNER

I'm no expert, but I think your builder is right i.e. 12 kw would cook you. I would be tempted to add a back burner next summer, presumably to give domestic hot water and/or central heating. I will be looking at adding a back boiler, in the future, but as I have a combi boiler, not sure how to...

    Good website for screws?

Last screws I bought were on T'Bay, though before that I used to go to an Auto Jumble near York, lots of traders selling all sorts, including screws at good prices.

    Magazines

I tried this offer of 3 BWW for a fiver, and quite enjoyed the mag, however I wasn't sure I wanted to shell out a lump sum for a subscription. I would like to know if anyone can recommend other woodworking mags, British or otherwise. Whilst I try to be patriotic, I do like what I've seen of...

    MY NEW WOODBURNER

Can I suggest you get a carbon monoxide alarm ? For peace of mind ? This is my first winter with a woodburning stove, so research I did indicated it's money well spent, (less than £20, Amazon etc). I was amazed at how much heat it chucks out, and how much wood is for free. Happy installation
